Lost and Found

Alexei woke on a table, his vision very blurred and foggy. He barely managed to make out a man with a gas mask and surgical scissors. Alexei panicked and knocked the scissors out of the man's hand. As Alexei tried to get off the table, he slipped and fell over onto the floor. The man put his hands on Alexei's back and spoke with a muffled voice, "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you. I found you... Out there." He took off the gas mask to reveal an elderly man. A new person walked through the door looking angry, "Keeping secrets from me, Doctor?" Said the bitter man. So the first person's name is Doctor? Thought Alexei. "I was just about to-" The Doctor was cut off as the new person pushed him out of the way to look at Alexei. "A soldier... You brought back a soldier!?" The man said enraged. "General, he was out there alone. If I had done nothing, I would have disobeyed the Hippocratic oath." The Doctor said with sincerity. "The military despises us, rebels." Yelled the General. "We aren't rebels. We are freedom fighters." said The Doctor. "We are rebels and you know it!" Yelled the General. They argued, Alexei Snuck out of the room.

As Alexei walked out the door he stared in awe. The place was immense. There were merchants, mercenaries, medical tents, and soldiers. Alexei remembered the general was probably gonna notice him missing, so he booked it.
As he ran he heard yelling "After Him!" Alexei panicked and looked around. It must've been his lucky day because he saw an incredibly large group of people at the merchants. Alexei looked behind him and saw soldiers running after him with handmade guns. Alexei quickly disappeared into the crowd. It took about five minutes before the guards called off the search. Alexei took notice of this and thought about leaving, but there were merchants and Alexei had a few Rubles on him and went to a merchant and asked for a Makarov, for he had been taken away. The merchant laughed and said, "Rubles haven't had value since the bombs dropped. We only use military bullets here." Alexei thought about it and pulled out multiple Kalashnikov clips and laid them on the table. For some reason, the Doctor didn't take his ammunition away, which was military grade. The merchant stared in shock. "What do you want for this?" The merchant asked, still shocked at the riches that lay before him. Alexei saw a Makarov and baton. He asked for both and the merchant said, "Are you sure you only want that? For that much, I could put attachments to the gun." Alexei thought about it and asked for a laser sight and a suppressor. The merchant accepted the offer and started to put attachments to the gun. "Come back in about an hour and I'll have these. But you should eat. Here" He hands Alexei one of his clips back and the baton, "This is too much for me, and besides, I know you are wanted so you might want to get a change of clothes." Alexei took the clip and was on his way. He went to a coat shop and bought a large scarf of rags. With this, he was able to cover all of his body except for the patch on his arm. He then went to a restaurant and ate some fried rat and Vodka. As you do in Russia. He looked around for about an hour and went back to the merchant. As he was right in front of the booth, a guard aimed a gun at his head, "Freeze, you are under arrest on account of suspicious actions. Follow me. I don't want to shoot but if you make any moves I won't think twice." Alexei followed the guard into a room where he saw the merchant and the General standing. "Just as the merchant said, he would walk right up to us." Alexei saw the upgraded handgun on a bench right next to him. The General walked up to Alexei and started to speak, "Why are you here?" The guard pushed Alexei to his knees. "I don't remember," Alexei said in a sarcastic tone. "Then we will just have to jog his memory." Said the General as he pistol-whipped Alexei with a shiny 357. Magnum. "I think I got something... No, I lost it." Alexei said with a grin. The General hit him again with the revolver. This went on like this for 5 minutes. The General started speaking again, "While you may be able to stand the abuse, will he?" The General aimed the revolver at the merchant and pulled the hammer back. "You think I care if he dies?" Alexei said with a poker face. The General fired and killed the merchant. The guard next to Alexei covered his ears, and Alexei took this opportunity to grab the upgraded Makarov and shoot the General in the leg and the guard in the head. Before the General could yell, Alexei knocked him out with the baton. Some guards heard the commotion and entered the room. Alexei knocked one out with his baton and ran out of the room. The second guard opened fire causing panic among the whole base. The guards were on high alert and were blocking every exit. But Alexei had to get out somehow. As he ran through a narrow alley with rooms on both sides of him, one of the doors opened and he was pulled inside with a potato sack over his head and a sleeping dart was fired into his neck. Then all went dark.
