THIRD PERSON POV

TODAY was the day the test results would be announced for the final exam. Some students showing off their good grades, others were either chatting, staring at their paper or into space. However, Han Songmin isn't. She stared at her paper and sighed sadly, but no words escaped her lips. Of course she studied hard, but unfortunately didn't score the perfect grade her parents wanted. She sat alone at her desk, wearing an obvious frown.

Taehyung noticed her frown as he softly tapped her shoulder from behind, Songmin turned around to see Taehyung with his usual bright smile as she quickly fixed her stressed frown into a proud smile.

"What did you get for you final exam?" Taehyung asked.

"Ninety-four percent. You?"

"Sixty-seven percent, I think I did awesome!" He smiled cheekily.

Songmin mentally facepalmed as she glared at him, but she soon let out a small laugh.

"Why were you frowning earlier?" Taehyung asked curiously, making Songmin bit her lips in an anxious manner.

"My parent expected me to get at least ninety-five percent, but I failed them by one percent." She sighed before continuing, "My life sucks."

"What are you talking about? Ninety-four is the highest score from everyone I've seen! I'm positive your parents will understand." He ruffled her hair and patted her head.

"I hope so too. We'll see." Songmin replied shortly. She wanted to tell him about her parents and how strict they actually were, but she'd just make him worry. Then she decided to not say anything negative and kept her mouth shut. Songmin wasn't the type of person to drag people down with her negativity, let alone Kim Taehyung, her closest and only friend.

"Come on. Get your hopes up high! Do you wanna get some ice cream after school to clear out some of your moody thoughts?" Taehyung offered kindly, knowing how much his best friend loves food and ice cream, he wanted to cheer her up with several scoops of sweetness. "My treat."

"Alright, but I can't be with you for too long, I have to be back home before five o'clock." Songmin declared to Taehyung, as he nodded.

"Won't take you much time. Let's go!" Taehyung shouted excitedly, he was about to grab her by the wrist and dash the hell out of there, but-

"Bro. Chill, we still have a few more hours of school."

Taehyung dramatically brought his hand over his heart, "Oh my god," he breathed out in broken English, "Han Songmin bro-zoned me!"

Songmin managed to crack a grin as the bell rang to announce that break time is over.

"Sit down. If that old hag sees you, you'll get detention and no one will pay for my ice cream."
