Malevolence

"She's pregnant." I say out loud to my self and I keep my hold on her. I was in disbelief, but I wasn't about to deny the claims. "Do you think I'm lying?" She asks while looking up at me angrily, and I only smile down at her. "Why would I ever think that? You obviously have a dislikement towards me, so why would you make false claims of being pregnant by me?" I ask her amused and she only gets redder in the face, then looks away from me with a mad expression. "I won't abandon you and the child if that's what you think I'll do. My mother was an Angel you know." I hold her chin in my hand, looking into her eyes, seeing the tears threatening to pour. "What will your kingdom think of this? And my family will disown me! I'll be a fallen angel!" She whispers in horror and I carress her face lightly, seeing her expression slightly soften at my touch. "Atheni. I am sorry that I did this to you, I wish I had thought more. I'd go with you if you... Want to... Get an... Abortion." I choke on the words, my cool attitude crumbling and it fully hitting me. Atheni was pregnant, and she despised me for it. "No, I hate Abortions, that's practically murder. I.. I will just have to leave Heaven. They won't accept me there any longer. Which is why I live here now." She says gently, and I draw circles on her back with my fingers, using the calming method I used all the time to calm her down when she was upset. I've known Atheni for a while, about a thousand years now. "Well your... 8 months along?" I ask her softly, feeling her cling onto me now and I feel her nod into my chest. "Atheni I think... This means... What that women from our childhood meant. That we were fated." I say into her hair, feeling eyes on us. I tense up and wrap my arms around Atheni tighter. "Why are Heaven Hounds here?" I ask her and I see she is staring behind me, fear on her face. I hear a howl behind me and turn my face to see three Hell Hounds. "Who is responsible for this?" I shout loudly seeing Kyle's boyfriend walking up behind the Hell Hounds with a smirk on his face. "Only me, and well an angel of course." He says, petting the three dogs, each of them had two heads. "My my, an angel in the King of Hell's arms. Very shocking." A angelic voice chimes in and Atheni tenses up majorly. "Valorina, what in Mary's name are you doing here?" She asks, pulling slightly out of my arms to turn around, but I keep my arms braced tightly around her waist. That's when I feel it. Her stomach had grown, she was truly pregnant with my child. Atheni was the carrier of the next Scarlett. "Since when is Lucifer Scarlett the Seventh so protective over an angel?" Kyle's boyfriend says as he circles us slowly, like a hunter stalking it's prey. "Angels are no better nor different then us Demons. They just live somewhere else and do things differently. Plus you must not have forgotten my mother is an angel after all." I say calmly to him even though I wanted to snap his neck quite a bit. He was eying Atheni too much for my liking, so I did the normal thing I had always done. "Kyle!" I shout in my King Voice, which was very very deep and demonic, and if I didn't calm down my horns would sprout. Kyle appears next to me in uniform with sword drawn, with his fist over his heart. "Yes my King?" He asks instantly and faces me quickly, not faltering once. "Deal with your mate. I'll be in the house." I say in the same voice, picking Atheni up and walking towards the house, but I feel an arrow hit me in the back. I grunt angrily and set her on the steps. "Stay." I mumble and kiss her forehead, standing up, ripping the arrow out then tossing it to the side. I glare at the location it came from, finding it came from the angel Valorina. "You dare shoot me?" I growl out, feeling my skin starting to boil with heat. "Luc, come. Ignore it please. We are in the human world." I hear Atheni behind me, grasping my arm slightly. I look down at her, calming down, feeling like ice had showered me in kisses. "Alright. Let's go get you comfortable." I whisper against her forehead and pick her up again, walking to the house. I feel another sharp pain in my back but ignore it like Atheni had told me to. "Kyle, your station is in front of my bedroom. Guard it with your life." I snarl, slamming the house door and I swiftly walk up to the bedroom, shoving the door open and I gently lay her on the bed. "Atheni, I'm sorry you had to go through most of this alone. I should've been more careful but I promise I'll be here for you for the rest of it. As long as you want me here." I mumble against the back of her hand, kissing it gently and I see her beautiful smile again. "Does this mean I'm technically going to be the Queen of Hell?" She asks me, trying to amuse me and I smile at her. "Only if you want to be. Do you know the gender of the child?" I ask her gently, clasping her hand with mine and she nods. "The child is a he. So I've been calling him Lucifer Scarlett the Ninth lately." She chuckles softly and I break out in a wide smile. "Ah the heir to the throne. I do hope he will be as brave and courageous as his mother." I chuckle, and she rolls her eyes smiling. "Or as handsome, bullheaded and charming as his father." She sticks her tongue out at me, making me laugh wholeheartedly, as I pull the arrow out of my back, tossing it to the side. "My, My. My mother will be surprised by this. She thought she'd never get grandchildren, given my reputation." I say truthfully and hear my phone ring, knowing word has gotten to her. I sigh heavily and open my phone, seeing 'Mom' across the screen and I answer. "Hello Mother." I say sweetly, hearing my sister's squealing in the background. "I take it you heard the news?" I ask her softly and another round of squeals is heard. "Yes Luc. We have. Are you telling me I have a grandbaby?" She says excitedly, making me chuckle. "Yes Mother. You do indeed have a grandchild. He is due in roughly a month." I say and loud squealing is heard. "Safe to say your family approves?" Atheni asks trying not to laugh. "Oh my! Is that Atheni I hear? She's the mother?! This is wonderful! When's the wedding?" She asks suddenly making me freeze up, realizing that for Atheni to become Queen.... We'd have to get married, and for our son to take the throne, it was required as well. "We haven't sorted that out just yet mom. I'll call you back with an answer. I have to go." I say in a rush and hang up, finding myself sweating slightly. "What's wrong?" Atheni asks me gently, wiping some sweat from my face and I look at her with a weak smile. "Mom wants to know when the wedding is going to be."
