3 PERSON POV
Thump, thump thump. Was the sound of Emma's heartbeat as Chris was standing there. Thump, thump, thump.
"Emma," he said more calmly, "what is going on?"
All that registered in her mind was, What would happen if her dad found out? Would he beat her to death, kill her quickly, or hopefully the cops will show up before? Should she just run, stay, or lie?
"Emma," Chris said his voice going softer
He took a step forward, worried about what was going on with her. His eyebrows a were scrunched together and his arms were out in front of him, showing her that he won't do nothing. Then... she ran. Emma ran out of the office, out of the doors of the school, she ran until late her legs couldn't carry anymore. She collapsed on the football field outside for her school.
