Eve hung upside down in the tree as holding the book up to her nose. She sighed as she tried once again to sound out this word that she was stuck on. Honestly she kinda liked reading.
She was very interested in not having to ask others for information. And instead being able to find out herself in a small package. It was amazing to her.
However very difficult to understand. The letters hardly made since in the beginning, just looking like strange squiggles. But Emma did a good job at trying to help.
Now Eve was starting to understand, but she was still not very good. It made her mad most of the time. She had never had to think like this before, and all the other kids did it so flawlessly.
"You look insane" she heard making her eyes snap away from the book and to the speaker. Infrount of her stood Enoch making her smirk
"Well, If it isnt the wonderful ray of pitch black" she said rolling her eyes.
He smirked.
"And what is it your doing?"
"Reading"
"You've been on the same page for four minutes. And theres like 20 words on it." She smirked and looked at him raising a brow
"Why have you been staring at me for four minutes?" he roll his eyes
"Oh bugger off" she laughed
"Hey, you came up to me" she said in defense and he raised a brow
"Do you want me to leave?" She sighed before pulling her self up with a situp and grabbing onto the branch her legs had been wrapped around. She held on tightly and the dropped her legs swinging down before letting go and dropping onto the ground.
"No" she said smirking smugly. He looked at her book in her hand
"Let me see the word"
She sighed handing it over and pointing to the word she was having trouble with he nodded
"Its Antarctic. I can see why your having trouble, its pronounced Ant-ART-tic" she nodded
"Ant-ART-tic" she said and smiled grabbing the book back from him and memorizing it. She then snapped it shut and looked back at Enoch
"Thank you"
"Your welcome" he said and then sat down on the tree pulling out his notebook like normal.
Eve sighed and sat down next to him.
"So, what do you write in there?"
"Ideas" he answered vaguely making hed huff in annoyance.
Ah duh.
However she didnt ask again, use to the fact that he would just keep giving her dumb answers.
"Wanna do something?" She asked as she pulled on the grass because she was incredibly bored
"I am doing something" Eve rolled her eyes
"Something boring" she said and Enoch smirked still not looking up.
"Actually I find your misery quite amusing" Eve narrowed her eyes growling
"If I was in the wild I'd of eaten you by now" she growled but Enoch just smirked and looked at her through the corner of his eye.
"Yes, however your not in the wild. Are you?" Eve glared and snapped at him with her Lion teeth and stood up stomping away while Enoch chuckled rolling his eye.
Eve stomped towards the house and saw Hugh run up to her
"Hey Eve do you-" he was cut off by the sound of a roar making his eyes widened and he lifted his hands in defense
