The doctor finally arrived. He started checking Gauri. Using the sphygmomanometer he checked her blood pressure then he checked the pulse rate. After a few more checks, he gave her an injection. He wrote a prescription and gave it to Omkara.
Omkara: Doc... Doctor meri Gauri... Meri Gauri ko kya hua hai??(Doc.... Doctor what has happened to my Gauri?)
Doctor:Mr Omkara aap panic karna band kijiye. Mrs Gauri behosh ho gayi hai. Hum log uska reason nahi bata sakte. Uske liye kuch tests karne parenge. Maine unhe ek injection diya hai. 1-2 ghante mein woh uth jayengi.
(Mr Omkara stop panicking. We don't know the reason behind Mrs Gauri fainting. For that we need to do some blood tests. I've given her an injection. She will wake up in 1-2 hours)
Omkara: Okay Doctor.
All the Oberois except Om go to see off the doctor. Om sits on the room caressing Gauri's hand and crying bitterly.
Omkara's POV:
I'm sorry Jaan. Meri wajah se tum behosh ho gayi. Main agar zabardasti na karta toh tum behosh nahi hoti. I'm sorry Ri.(I'm sorry sweetheart. Because of me you fainted. If I wouldn't force you, you wouldn't faint. I'm sorry Ri)
Thinking so Om continued crying. Every passing minute seemed to be a year. Indeed the wait was long. Finally after 2 long hours Gauri flickered her eyes open. Seeing Gauri open her eyes Om rushed to her and hugged her with his full might. All the other Oberois present went away to give the couple some space. Omkara kisses Gauri's entire face not leaving a single dry spot. Then he hugged Gauri tighter, her face facing his chest.
Omkara: I'm so Sorry Jaan. Meri wajah se tum behosh ho gayi. Mai kitna bura husband hoon. I'm sorry. Na hi mai tum par chillata na hi tum gussa hoti na behosh. Mai kitna bura hoon. I don't deserve you. I'm so bad. (cupping her face) tumhe pata Hai na Ri tumhare bina mein jee nahi paunga. Mar jayega yeh Omkara.(I'm so sorry sweetheart. Because of me you fainted. I'm such a bad husband. I'm sorry. Neither would I shout on you nor would you faint. I'm so bad. I don't deserve you. I'm so bad{cupping her face} You know right that I can't live without you. I'll die without you Ri)
Gauri slightly pressed her lips to Omkara. Slowly coming out of the kiss she said.
Gauri: Shhhhh. Phir se marne ki baat mat karna. Kaise jee paungi mein aapke bina? Hume bas yahi khushi hai ki aap ko apni galti samajh mein aa gayi. Humne bhi aapko maaf kiya. Kabhi bhi Hume chorke Jane ki baat mat karna. (Shhhhh. Don't ever speak about death again. How will I survive without you? I'm just happy that you realised your mistake. Even I forgave you. Please don't ever leave me)
Omkara: I'm sorry Jaan.
Gauri : Please baar baar sorry bolke Hume guilty mat feel karaiye. (Please don't say sorry. I'll feel guilty)
Omkara : I love you.
Gauri: Love you too.
Saying so Om climbed the bed beside Gauri and kissed her temple. She snuggled more into him inhaling his smell. He carefully put his leg around her snuggling her like his side pillow. His favourite side pillow. With a peaceful smile on their faces they drifted off to sleep.
The next day.
Gauri woke up with the sun rays falling on her face. She woke up to find a strong gaze of chocolate brown eyes on her.
Omkara: Good Morning Mrs Oberoi.
Gauri(pulling him by his collar) : It's Gauri for you Mr Oberoi
Omkara (pressing his nose to hers) :And it's Omkara ji for you.
Having an extremely sweet morning Gauri went to bathe. As soon as she came out she was engulfed in a bone crushing hug by Omkara.
Gauri : Omkara ji... Phir se shuru ho gaye na aap. (Omkara ji... You started again)
Omkara: Issi hug ko mai 2 din se miss kar raha tha. Please mujhe enjoy karne do(I was missing this hug since two days. Please let me feel the moment)
Gauri(after 5 minutes) : Accha theek hai ab aap Hume choriye. (Okay. Now at least leave me)
Omkara let's her go.
Omkara: Oh ha! Aaj tumhare kuch blood tests hai. (Oh yeah! You have some blood tests today)
Gauri: Nahii!!! Mai sui nahi lagaungi. Please.... (NO....... I won't have any blood test!! Please.....)
Omkara: Aisa nahi chalega Ri. Injection toh lagaba hi padega. (NO Ri. You have to)
Gauri:Nahi.... (NO)
Not listening to Gauri Om went to bathe. After coming out of the washroom Om couldn't find Gauri. He quickly wore his clothes and went to the kitchen to find Gauri working in front of the gas stove.
Omkara: Gauri!!! Kya kar rahi ho? Tumhe pata hai na ki aisi Haalat mein tumhe kaam nahi karna chahiye. I don't know anything. Chalo yaha se Hume nikalna hai..... (Gauri!! What are you doing. You know right that you shouldn't work in this condition.
I don't know anything. Come we have to leave)
Omkara quietly in switched off the gas stove and pulled Gauri out of the kitchen not letting her speak.
Omkara: Bhabhi hum diagnostic centre jaa rahe hai. (Bhabhi we are going to the diagnostic Centre)
Gauri :Nahi Hume nahi jaana. (NO I don't want to go)
Anika comes down hearing the scream.
Anika: Kya hua Gauri? (What happened Gauri?)
Omkara: Dekhiye bhabhi yeh keh rahi hai ki isko blood test nahi karana.
(Look bhabhi. She's saying that she won't have the blood test.)
Anika: Nahi Gauri iss baar I can't help you. It's important. Tumhe jaana hoga. (NO Gauri I can't help you. It's important. You have to go)
Gauri with a sad pout went with Omkara. Omkara lifted Gauri in his arms and took her to the car. He carefully placed Gauri in the seat and fastened her seat belt. He then sat on the driver's seat and drove to the diagnostic centre.
Entering the cabin Gauri was shivering. Gauri clutched Omkara's hand tightly. She sat on the chair and kept her hand on the arm of the chair. The man spread some spirit on her hand and took out a syringe. Seeing the syringe itself Gauri was perspiring. She tightly gripped Omkihand embedding nail marks. The man tied a tourniquet on the upper portion of her hand and inserted the syringe in her arm. Gauri initially flinched in pain. Omkara's heart scrunched seeing his beloved in pain. After taking out one syringe of blood the man secured the area with a band aid. Gauri looked at Omkara with watery eyes. He slowly yet elegantly kissed her temple.
Omkara: You were brave jaan.
Gauri hugged him. After that they got into their car and started driving back to Oberoi mansion.. On the way Gauri spotted a pani Puri vendor and with puppy eyes requested Om to stop the car as she was craving something sour. Omkara abided by her order. Gauri was having Golgappas in her own dabbang style. Seeing his petite wife in such a form a smile crept on Omkara's face. He sneakily clicked her picture. After having Golgappas of worth 50 rupees Gauri was full and both of them got back into the car.
Omkara then whispered on Gauri's ears.
Omkara: Yeh tumhara prize tha for being brave. (This was your prize for being brave)
Hearing this Gauri couldn't help but blush. Omkara smiled seeing her blush. They drove back to Oberoi mansion.
