The sun is rising, starting to light up the sky. Sana usually doesn't wake up this early, however this morning is different. She has been awake for hours now.
A sob leaves her lips as she presses herself closer to the warm body next to her.
“I know..” Dahyun caresses her hair. “I'm sorry. I–”
She doesn't get to finish her sentence and Sana doesn't ask her to. The older can't really stop the tears forming in her eyes.
“Don't cry.” The korean whispers. “Please, don't cry, Sana.”
But Sana can't. All she does is bury her face against Dahyun's neck.
Dahyun leans to kiss her softly and it manages to heal the sadness in Sana's chest at least for a moment.
Please don't leave. I don't want you to go.
She wants to say it, but she knows it would make this harder for Dahyun too.
“You know I don't want to.. but I've to.” Dahyun whispers against her lips.
“The last time you left I felt like dying.”
Sana frowns when she hears Dahyun chuckle.
“I forgot how sensitive you get when they call me.”
“Can't I ask you to stay?”
“It wouldn't be fair.”
“I miss you so much when you are not here. And I'm always so worried..”
“I miss you and worry about you too.” Dahyun kisses her hair. “You're all I think about when I'm there.”
Sana starts to crumble again, she can't help it. She buries her face in Dahyun's chest, tugging her shirt.
“I love you, Sana. You know it, right?”
“I do..”
Dahyun smiles brightly before placing one more kiss on her hair. “You're so beautiful.”
“What am I going to do without you treating me like the princess I am?” Sana says, her voice was calmer now.
“Let's try, yes?” Dahyun says. “Time will fly, you will see.”
Sana rolls her eyes. “It's so easy to say.”
“Sana-chan,” Dahyun grabbed her chin delicately to make her face her. “You're brave and smart. You're my rock when I've to be away. Knowing you are here waiting for me it's what motivates me.”
Dahyun feels her own heart hurt realizing she doesn't really know when she will see those beautiful light brown eyes again.
“Please, be strong for me.”
More tears go down Sana's cheeks.
“I.. I will. For you.”
Dahyun starts to tear up too. Saying goodbye to the love of her life is always hard.
She takes Sana's hand and presses a kiss on it.
“I love you, so much.”
“I love you too.”
Then their alarm starts going off.
Time it's ticking.
