I woke up about five minutes before my alarm went off and decided to get up for school. Today is my birthday, but it's just another day to me. I took my shower and I decided to where a casual outfit. I put on some blue denim jeans with my "F·R·I·E·N·D·S" crop top with my slides. I took off my previous nail color and put on some white nail polish on my toe nails. I let it dry in front of my fan and went to go do my hair. I straightened my hair and went downstairs to see my mother cooking breakfast.

"Happy birthday baby!", she said putting the spatula down and jogging to me. She gave me a tight hug and kiss on the cheek. "Thanks mom. Where's dad?", I asked sitting at the table. "He had to leave to go to his house to go to work early, and just because you're getting older doesn't mean that you're to old to keep calling me mommy." I smiled at her and gave her a hug because my mom always makes big deals out of everything and is so emotional. She put my plate of food in front of me and there was an omelet, French toast, smothered potatoes, and a cup of cranberry juice. I was surprised that she cooked that for me because I normally just get pancakes or waffles I could tell my mom was in a good mood. That could only lead to one thing. "Momma, you got some dick huh?", I said smirking.

I know. I know. Any other momma would slap the hell out of their child if they said that, but my momma just cusses me out. I just be saying stuff to test her😂😂

She looked at me like I was crazy. "What the fuck! Girl watch your mouth. And what makes you think that?"
I could tell she was trying to hold back a smile.

"So who was the lucky guy?" I asked so serious. I knew it couldn't have been my father because they got divorced about ten months ago.

She finally gave in and let out a sigh. "Your father", she said. I almost choked on my potatoes.

"Me and your dad have been getting close again and we decided to get back together. He's proved to me that he changed, but we decided to take things slowly."

I looked at her like she had two heads. "I love y'all both but do you remember how many times he cheated on you? And having sex with him is not taking things slow. But it's not my business." I said sipping my juice. I was kinda happy they where back together. She looked like she was thinking then she looked back at me.

"That reminds me.... Have you ever had sex before Ashaia?"

"Mom you do know that I just barely turned 16 today. I wanna stay a virgin around this age." I said telling the truth.
She threw her hands up acting as if she was surrendering. "Your right but whatever happens, happens. And plus more girls around your age are starting to get pregnant and stuff and I was just making sure. I'm glad you want to stay my baby. And I'm also letting you date now, BUT whoever you find I strictly want no sexual contact."

Jokes on her, I had my first boyfriend when I was in second grade.

"But, when you are ready to lose you virginity, let me know before you do.

I nodded my head and asked her to take a picture for me so I could put it on instagram. We went to the porch and she snapped a few and then she drove me to school.
She gave me 300 dollars.

"Here's some money, I ordered a scheduled lyft for you and 3 friends to go to the mall with you. Happy birthday again. And your dad will see you tomorrow." She rushed me out the car so she wouldn't be late to work. I got out the car and saw my best friend Nari waiting on me. Nari doesn't have any friends besides me because she don't fuck with every body.

From a distance I saw a cute light skin curly head walk up to her. I never seen the boy before. I walked closer and she cut off her sentence when she seen me. "Bestfriend! Happy Birthday!", she screamed causing every one to look at us while she gave me a bear hug. She knew I didn't really want everyone to know it was my birthday, but of course that's why she did it. Then the light skin boy looked at me, "Happy birthday I'm Chris." I looked at him with a straight face.
