Hearing your name being called for the fifth time is really annoying. Pero hindi pa rin ako nag-abalang mag-angat ng tingin.

Naka-unli si tandang Sora ngayon kaya nasa akin na naman ang mga mata niya, but I don't care. I'm busy breathing and if she will keep on chanting my name, baka mapalabas ko na naman siya dito ng wala sa oras. I still didn't lose count on how many times I did that. So by any chance, if she keeps on pestering me, she will be leaving this class again for the 13th time this month and the 97th this year.

No offense for the Tandang Sora reference tho... pero 'yon na kasi ang nakasanayang itawag sa kanya ng mga estudyante hindi lang dito sa section namin kundi pati na yata halos sa buong campus. Nagtataka nga ako kung bakit tandang Sora eh mas bagay sa kanya ang Miss Minchin--the bitchy, bossy, greedy, and strict teacher who doesn't take 'no' as an answer.

It's crazy but i can actually feel the Jean Garcia vibe on her sa Princess Sarah.

"Ugh, manhid ba talaga 'yang matandang 'yan o sadyang kulang lang sa pansin? Hindi mo na nga pinapansin, pero pinapairal na naman niya ang pagiging unli-duckling niya. For sure sesermunan ka na naman niyan dahil hindi ka nakikinig," bulong ni Harley sa kanan ko.

I rolled my eyes. It's good to know my friends are finding this situation amusing. I just ignored them and continued reading my precious manhua. But before I can even flip to the next page, a pair of black old fashioned shoes--I almost didn't see because it was covered by a long dress, appear in front of me.

Oh, look who's excited to leave the room anytime soon. Guess the old hag is really determined to push my buttons today, huh?

From the corner of my eyes, I saw all heads of our classmate's turn this way, their faces evident of full anticipation. I mentally rolled my eyes. Glad to be part of your entertainment, guys.

With a faked calm expression, I look up from my manhua and meet the glaring eyes of Miss Min--tandang Sora.

"Can I help you?" I asked calmly, with a hint of little politeness.

She was taken aback, clearly not expecting my not-so-normal approach. Normally kasi, kapag ganitong pinipestes niya ako, it's either masama ang tingin ko sa kanya o nakasigaw at nagmumura.

But you can always change tactics when it comes to playing games, right? Ang boring naman kasi kapag lagi kong sinasakripisyo ang vocal chords ko para lang dito. Let's leave violence aside and try the calm approach, shall we?

Eyeing me warily, she showed me a quiz paper. "What's this?" she asked.

I'm still resisting the urge to smirk. But I have to give it to her; she's finally learning to be wary of me. After all those times... I ignored her question and picked up my phone on the table instead. I saw from the corner pf my eyes how she took a step back. Again, I resisted smirking and rolling my eyes.

I opened my phone and the power on ringtone blared. I heard a gasp of disbelief as snickers started to fill the room. I just ignored her and everyone else while tapping my index finger on the desk, waiting for my phone to completely come to life. I also started my mental counting on how long her patience will last before she explodes.
