Ode: Power Unappreciated

Ode to our source of worldly power,

That we hardly think twice about.

Ode to what makes lights shine,

And yet is invisible.

Ode to what helps us live comfortably,

But kills with a single touch.

Ode to its flowing currents,

That causes disaster combined with water.

Ode to the brain child of science,

Who fathered the modern world.

Ode to the mystery of it all,

That most people will never fully comprehend.

Ode to force, power, gravity,

But most of all, electricity.
