-paddle boarding-

The paddle boarding place was pretty cool. It had a beautiful view with mountains and everything. While workers were setting up everything for us I sat on a bench and scrolled through some comments on my recent.
"Omg Colby's so cute!!"
"Wait r you guys dating!? I ship it!!"
"EWWWW whys he hanging out with her 🙄"
I saw some of the comments. I rolled my eyes and clicked my phone I'd sighing. "You good?" Cory asked. "Yeah I'm fine" I said squinting trying to keep the sun out of my eyes. "Alright guys lets go" the instructor said. We all walked over. "Alright so you guys are going to put these life vests on just in case" he said handing out the life vest. After we put them on he explained the rules. We got on the paddle board. "So if one of you guys shake the rest of you will" the instructor said. "That means you Elton!!" Sam yelled , we laughed.

"Who's gonna be the first to jump" Elton asked looking into the water. "Ugh not me" I said sitting down letting my feet dangle in the water. "You okay?" Colby said looking down at me "Mhm I'm fine" "U sure?" "Yeah just exhausted" "Do you want me to bring you back to the RV" "Uh no it's okay, but can we sit on the shore and talk?" He looked confused "Yeah sure"

"Why do you wanna talk to me?" He said sitting across from me. "Well um" I paused "what's wrong?" "Well nothing....okay yes something , so um -you know Danny?" He looked confused "Yeah okay and?" "Me and him....we uh never fully broke up" his expression changed "Oh wow okay" "I should have told you" I said embarrassed looking down at my hands. "Hey listen, it's fine I shouldn't have assumed anything." I smiled weakly "So what are you saying exactly?" "Well um- I don't really know how to-" "You don't want to do anything with me until you've figured things out with him....." he said almost disappointed "Im sorry" he didn't say anything "I don't even know what this is Colby , I may need time , I need to figure shit out" I said frustrated. "Hey listen okay, it's fine I don't want you to do anything you aren't ready for" He said sympathetically rubbing my hand. I looked down and smiled. He kissed my cheek before going back to the group. I feel sad , guilty even. I never wanted to that person to mess with someone's feelings and emotions, yet I've become that.
