Tonight we were going to an ancient village to see how the culture is here which is pretty cool I guess. It'll be fun but there's things I would rather do. "You ready to go" Sam ask me. Me and Sam aren't close but he's seems like a good guy and I know we'll be closer after this trip. "Yeah almost" I said throwing some things in my bag. "Hey can I talk to you for a second?" Sam said. "Yeah sure." He sat on the bed. "What's the REAL deal with Colby" I smiled to myself trying not to let him see. "What do you mean" "I see how you look at him Kels come on" I sighed "It doesn't matter I'm not gonna get involved with someone I live with that will just make it awkward" "Aren't you dating someone anyways?" "Well sorta...no....it's complicated. He was a dick but we never officially broke up, just drifted apart." "Well sort of , he told me he was talking to some girl her and asked me for advice about it, but he said he probably wasn't going to go for it because of the distance" Sam sighed "You didn't hear it from me, but he's still talking to her." My mood suddenly changed and I felt sad , Sam could tell too. "Kels I'm sorry." I mean we weren't dating, we weren't even remotely romantically involved so I don't know what it matters anyways. I sighed "Sam it's fine" "I know but sti-" "Sam..it's okay I'll be fine it's not a big deal anyways, thanks for telling me." He smiled a sympathetic smile. And I tried to brush it off, but to be honest I was kind of hurt. Sam hugged me. He could tell it bothered me and I knew that but I wasn't going to admit it. There was a knock "Yo you guys ready." Colby said coming in. I don't look at him the same way any more. I smiled at him weakly "You okay Kels?" "Yeah fine." He squinted his eyes suspiciously "I'm fine !" I giggled and playfully shoved him , pretending nothing was wrong. "Okay okay" he held his hands up in defense "Let's go."
———— I got over him talking to that girl rather quickly , he's still my best friend and I shouldn't let it bother me. "Who wants to be chief!" Said the bus driver. I looked over to Colby and we exchanged looks , and then looked at Elton. "Do it" I mouthed. Colby raised Elton's hand "Oh fuck You Colby" me and Colbs laughed. "You sir back there, you are now Chief Elton and this is your tribe" I tried not to laugh. "Wow how official" Colby said. The bus ride was long and I got bored. ———— "Come on!! Keep up losers" Elton said "Okay I get your the chief and everything but you don't have to be so bossy." "But that's what chiefs are for." I scoffed "Alright sure." ———— It was pretty cool I have to admit , seeing into other people's lives. The village was neat with all the little houses. We were now in a big room about to have dinner. "Okay tribe leaders you have to now choose a wife." I started to record on Elton's camera figuring he would want it. "Colby I choose you come up here baby" we all laughed, I'm 90% everyone hated us because we were being loud and annoying; also 90% sure they thought Colby and Elton were gay but that's a different story. Colby winked at him jokingly. Then we ate dinner. ———— -Back on the bus- It was really late and I was super tired. I rested my head against the window watching the lights go by. I smiled to myself , being content where I am. "Kels" it snapped me out of my thoughts I looked over to my left. "Hm" I looked at Colby. He held his arms out "cuddle?" I smiled and kind of laughed "fine, but don't hate me if I fall asleep." He presses a kiss to my cheek and my stomach did a flip. "Not in a thousand years would I hate you"
