Danielle's POV
So the next few weeks went along easily with me being treated like royalty purely because I'm friends with Ray and his 'crew' and yup I got my new reputation as the bad girl of the school. Our science teacher Miss Marissa set us a project and I'm working Ray!
Me Jade Ray and Brandon were all stood outside of the school when Brandon's phone gets a text so he reads it and says
"Ray, Kyle's back in town.. He wants us to go skateboarding with him! Let's ditch!"
Ray quickly replies "SURE!!! Jade and Dani you coming?"
"We'd love to!" I reply in behalf of the both of us with out realising.
I've never ditched before.. I'm bound to be caught.
When the bell went we all snuck out without being caught. We met Kyle at the skate park and it was pretty empty. Jade and I are sat on the bench talking about me and Ray and our 'relationship status" with me saying we're not together and her saying we are when Ray shouts over
"BABE COME HAVE A GO!!!"
Jade smirks
"Babe? Yep you're sure just friends!"
"Whatever Jade" I say as I skip over to Ray.
"Just a warning I'm pro at this!" I boast.
"Sureeee" Ray says sarcastically I know he doesn't believe me.. I'll show him. I went to he top of a ramp and began skateboarding like an absolute professional. I skated a lot when I was young.
Rays POV!!!
Dani was in the middle of skating when I realised she didn't have a helmet on so I shouted
"be careful love!!!"
At her.
Then I heard Kyle laugh and say "Brandon dude watch this!" As he threw an empty can of monster where Dani was skating to at the top of a ramp. This caused Dani to fall straight down the highest ramp and hit her head at least 7 times. I instantly ran over to hear her crying.
"Babe it's Ray can you see me?"
"Mmm....noooo....." She murmured back at me
"JADE CALL AN AMBULANCE" I screamed as Jade ran over.
"Okay babe" I turn my attention back to Dani "keep speaking to me.. I love you!"
"I....love....you too" she smiles slightly.
This is so going to get us busted at school for ditching!
DANI'S POV!!!!!!
2 days later I was allowed out of hospital.... I need regular check ups though in case there's any bleeding or swelling on my brain... I'm fine it was only a little tumble.
I was in Dance when Miss Williamson told me I have to go to the heads office. Shit.
I walked to the heads office and Ray, Jade and Brandon are already there. I sat between Ray and Jade. Ray held my hand.
"Now you're all here... It is obvious you ditched because of what happened.... We are extremely ashamed of you all especially you girls... You both have perfect grades now you're doing this...it's not cool in any way.... You all have 3 weeks detention and Ray and Dani you are no longer partners for the science project... Ray you're with Carol and Dani your with Harry."
I felt Rays hand tighten around mine as soon as we were told Harry is my partner.
We were all dismissed back to class. Now I'm working with a boy that hates me...more of a chance for me to get to know him though right?
The day passed easily after that....I am going back to Harry's tonight to start our project.
The walk back was pretty quite and awkward but when we were home Harry's parents weren't home so he cooked me curry so we ate dinner then went to his room to start the project... It wasn't awkward at all now, the conversations just flowed.
About 2 hours in Harry looked up at me
"Are we friends?" He asked
"No.... Were best friends." I grin back.
That's how I got my best friend.
At 10:30 we were half way through the project and we agreed to continue tomorrow.
He walked me home because he was afraid I'd get raped? On the way home he asked
"Do you and Ray go out?"
"It's complicated" I reply "we act like it but he's never asked me... I'm a really traditional girl... He has to ask me before it's official!"!
"Oh and Dani... Take off the act I know you're not a cold hearted person... I can tell is is an act"
"Fine but I'm only acting normal around you.. Ray won't like me otherwise!"
"Well he should like you for you because you're perfect!" Harry nearly shouted.
It was pretty awkward the rest of the way home until we got to my front garden.
"Thanks for today Beffa" Harry smiled "I really liked it... I'll see you in school."
Then he did something I didn't expect
He kissed me!
The kiss lasted about a minute then I pushed him away.
"I'm sorry I can't... Ray."
Was all I said before walking in name slamming the door.
I was so exhausted I got straight in to sweats and went to bed thinking about today's events and this kiss... Don't like Harry like that because I defiantly felt something because I kissed back!! URGH life is so complicated!
It's all this stupid science projects fault!
