September, 18th 2013 marked a beginning to a new way of life and an end to others. Every television programme came to a sudden stop and was replaced by the image of them. There they stood adorned in white lab coats and faces covered with masks; a group of people that we would all soon come to know as the game makers. Silence reined the world for a few minutes and then they spoke; each word being translated to every language known to man from French to Japanese. That exact moment was the beginning of it all. They spoke of a game in which every person who saw that very broadcast had to play. It was a simple mind game they said and and the rules even simpler.
They were:
1. Whoever thinks of the game gets eliminated immediately.
2. When one loses (is eliminated) they have to face the consequences..
3. The game is declared over when only one person is left standing.
After they spoke,they then disappeared; the television screens worldwide going blank, each returning to the specific show they were at as if it had never happened. That was the very moment the entire world went into an uproar each person arguing about the same thing how could one play a game and not think of it? Some laughed at the stupidity of it all but not for long, for that was also the moment the earth's population was reduced by half.
The rules rang clear that day to the rest who remained ,whoever thought of the game lost and if you lost you had to face the consequences; disappearing off the face of the earth.
