**Devin's POV**
Waking up, the first thing I notice was the warm breath on the back of my neck, telling me that he was still there. Matt was still with me.
His arm wrapped around my waist holding me down, but I didn't mind. I might as well enjoy it while I could, because he was going to regret everything as soon as he woke up. He was going to change his mind.
I was pulled from my troubled thoughts as he moved his hand up to my arm. He rubbed up and down the length of my bicep sending a shiver down my spine. The connection of his lips on my shoulder made me gasp.
"Good morning." He said in a raspy voice. I didn't say anything so he leaned up to look at my face. He smiled at me warmly, but I didn't do anything. I couldn't let my hopes get up just to become more heart broken than I already expected to be.
His smile faded and I knew right then it was over. "Devin..." I looked into his eyes and saw confusion and concern. Where is the regret? "What's the matter?"
"I'm just waiting for you to change your mind about this..." I answered honestly.
He chuckled sadly and kissed the corner of my eye. "Dev, I don't regret what happened last night. I'm not going to change my mind." Looking into Matt's eyes, I knew he was telling the truth. "I don't exactly understand what's going on in my head right now, but I'd like to see where this is going to lead."
With that, he leaned down and kissed me again. My heart swelled and I seriously thought my heart might explode. As his lips began to move against mine, I resisted the urge to pinch myself. This is something that only happens in a dream.
To my great disappointment, he pulled away and got out of bed. My cheeks flushed with a blush when I realized he was still in his boxers. He moved across the room to his dresser with ease, showing no shame.
"Come on, lazy bone! We have to get the boys from your mom's, then we should all go do something! I know just the thing." He grinned as he pulled his jeans on.
I dress casually, because I have no idea what Matt's plans are. There's no way to know what's going on in his mind!
"Pancakes or eggs?" Matt's voice carried from the doorway as I pulled a T-shirt over my head.
"What?"
"I'm gonna cook you breakfast!" he beamed, "Do you want eggs or pancakes?"
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him. He couldn't cook for his life, yet he wanted to make breakfast. "Whatever you want is fine with me."
"Nooooo!" he whined childishly and flopped down on my bed. "I'm making breakfast for you! Doesn't matter what I want."
"Fine, eggs." Nobody could burn a house down with eggs!
Right...?
He sat up on my bed and just looked at me as I slipped my shirt on. It was weird the way he was just looking at me and grinning and I wasn't sure if I should've been worried. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
He shrugged, "Nothing. I was just thinking..."
"Well, you're freaking me out!" I sat on the bed beside him to pulled my socks on. "What are you thinking?"
He looked into my eyes and smiled sweetly. "I was just thinking about how different you look now."
"Now? What do you mean? Different, how?" I asked him, gulping discreetly.
He leaned in so slowly I might not have noticed it. "Well, it doesn't bother me that you're a guy. I could definitely get used to looking at your body." His boldness sent a blush over my skin for the second time this morning. His lips were just a breath away from mine as he continued, "Maybe it's strange, but... I think I like it." he whisperd sensually before closing the gap.
Our lips made contact for about half a second, but I couldn't help but sigh contentedly. He grinned and got up, walking out of my bedroom.
Strange. Nothing I couldn't get used to, I smiled to myself
**Matt's POV**
While cooking the eggs for Devin's breakfast, I stopped to think about last night's events.
I wouldn't lie, it was a bit shocking what happened, but I wasn't lying when I said I didn't regret it. Sure, it was strange kissing a guy, but I wouldn't change my mind. My feelings for Devin were there, and when I think about it, he'd always had a very special place in my heart. Maybe I just didn't realize what kind of love I felt for him.
Maybe I was in love with Devin...
I hoped I didn't do something stupid to hurt him. I know I'd done things unintentionally, but I never wanted to cause him and kind of pain. Never!
Just then, he walked up behind me and looked over my shoulder. "I'm surprised you haven't burned the whole complex." He laughed.
"I could find that offensive, ya know." I quipped.
"Go ahead and be offended then, you know your shocked too!" He said and laid his head on my back, wrapping his arms around my torso.
I loved the feeling of his arms around me. Accepting the fact that I had feelings for him was not very hard when everything he did gave me butterflies like nothing else. Maybe I just needed to admit it.
Interlocking my fingers with his, I sank back into him and just let myself go.
I heard the shrill of my cell phone and hesitantly pulled away, handing Devin the spatula so the food really didn't get scorched.
I ran into the living room and picked up my phone from the end table. The number was unknown, but I answered before I missed the call. "Hello?"
"Hello, Matthias."
A familiar female voice replied, sending a shock straight through my heart.
"Regan?"
"I want my kids back, Matthias..."
My breath caught and I couldn't comprehend anything as the device crashed to the floor along with every fragment of my life.
Picture of what the boys look like when they're little ^.^
