You and Michelle have the same flashback to La Huerta.
"What do you mean a flashback?" Michelle asks, clearly confused.
"I'll explain it later" you reply. You and your friends go to your hotel where you find Lila.
"Hello, guys and welcome to Barceló San José!" She says. "I'm your tour guide, Lila Sethi! If you have any questions, feel free to come to me." You have another flashback. This time, it's multiple occasions with Lila. Including her death before you making your deal with Rourke.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Aleister's voice rings in your head. You're still not fully in reality.
"It's so weird seeing her alive and okay." You say under your breath but Estela and Aleister are close enough to hear you.
"What?" Estela asks, confused about what you're talking about. You're still a little zoned out, not realizing what you're saying.
"She died." You say under your breath. "She was shot... By the Arachnids."
"What are you talking about?" Aleister asks. You're snapped fully into reality.
"What?" You reply, clearly not realizing what you said.
"You were saying something about Arachnids." Estela replies.
"Really?" You add "why would I be talking about spiders?" You say, trying to cover up the fact that you're thinking about the island. Estela gives you a suspicious glance as you walk away. You check into your room and take put your luggage away. You head to the beach where you find Jake.
"Look who finally decided to show up" Jake says, clearly happy to see you.
"I had to meet up with the tour guide, check in and get settled." You reply.
"You okay though, Princess?" Jake asks. You're walking side-by-side along the beach.
"Yeah, I'm fine." You reply, knowing exactly what he means.
"What happened on that island?" Jake asked "....Other than that saber-toothed tiger and the weird blue fox."
"People died." You reply, crestfallen. Jake looks at you. "I know about the Arachnids." You add.
Jake's face falls. "So then, you know I'm on the run." He replies. You nod.
"I met Mike in the Navy" Jake adds.
"Your bunkmate " you reply. "He was like a brother to you."
"Growing up, I always made more enemies than friends, but Mike and I hit it off right away." Jake replies. "Best day of my life was when—"
"When you got assigned to the same deployment" you reply, cutting Jake off. He stares at you. "Sorry for cutting you off" you add.
"No, it's fine." He replies. He continues, "when we were up in the sky flying side-by-side..." he looks at you again. "One of the few times I could say I really felt happy."
"But then you found out the truth about your commander..." you reply.
"Went by the name Rex Lundgren. The kinda guy who always talked tough, so long as he was picking  on someone who couldn't fight back." Jake replies, angrily. He continues. " Turns out he was up to a lot more than bullying. Ol' Commander Lundgren had a nice little business on the side. He was forging paperwork to request weapons we didn't need..."
"Selling them to the tyrants you were supposed to be fighting." You reply.
"Exactly." Jake adds. "Mike and I were going to report him. But while we were gathering evidence..." Jake stops, lost in thought.
"He found out." You reply.
"Yeah" Jake replies in a melancholy whisper. "He sent us on what he claimed was a standard recon mission."
"But it was an ambush." You reply, sorrowfully. "He wanted to kill you to keep you quiet."
"Kharzistan military shot us out of the sky. I ejected in time." He replies. Jake's eyes fill with tears. He can't get the last words out, but you know exactly what he's going to say because you've had this conversation before.
"I'm so sorry, Jake." You reply as you bring him into a tight hug. He hugs you back. As the two of you embrace, you both get a flashback. This very conversation on La Huerta. You're pulled back into reality. Jake pulls back and looks at you. "What the hell was that?" He asks.
"Another flashback" you reply. "Another memory of the island!"
"But why?" Jake asks.
"Because we've had this exact conversation on La Huerta." You reply.
"The dreams" Jake adds.
"I told you" you reply.
"I told you everything about Lundgren.." Jake replies.
"Yes" you reply.
"We were..." Jake stops, confused.
"We were together" you reply.
"You're the girl in my dreams" Jake replies.
You're overcome with happiness. "You remember!" You reply.
"I'm so confused" Jake adds.
"I know" you reply.
"How long...?" Jake replies.
"About a year ago. You were our pilot just like you were for this trip." you reply. You explain everything about your relationship to Jake. Excluding the handfasting ceremony.
Jake slowly walks towards the water, perplexed.
"What's wrong?" You ask as you follow him.
"Nothing" Jake replies.
"Jake..." you reply, gloomily.
"If we were in love, then why can I barely remember you?" Jake replies. "There must be something wrong."
"No, Jake." You reply. "There's nothing wrong."
"What do you mean?" Jake replies.
"You weren't supposed to remember." You reply. Jake gives you a confused look. You continue. "Rourke erased everyone's memory of the island when he sent us back. Except for mine."
"Why not yours?" Jake asks.
You look down as if you're hiding something.
"What is it, Princess?" Jake asks, comfortingly. "You can tell me anything."
"I was part of the island" you reply, sorrowfully.
"What do you mean?" Jake replies. You look up, tears in your eyes.
"Every memory I have before the island is altered." you start. Jake looks at you with sympathy. "My family, my childhood..." you're too emotional to continue. Jake pulls you into a tight hug. "It's okay, Princess." Jake says, holding you. "I'm here." The two of you stand there in a tight embrace for what feels like hours. Later on, Jake walks you back to your hotel. You stop outside.
"So, this is it?" Jake asks.
"Just for now" you reply.
"I meant, this is your hotel." Jake replies, laughing.
"Oh." You laugh along. "Yeah, it is."
"Can I get a kiss before I leave?" He asks. The two of you kiss for a long moment. Jake wraps his arms around you, pulling you close as you wrap your arms around him. Memories of you run through Jake's mind. The moment you met. Every moment you spent together. Even the handfasting ceremony. He remembers his vows to you. The two of you pull away slightly, faces close. Jake's smile lights up the whole island. You smile back, relieved but also disappointed that he doesn't remember marrying you. Or does he? Jake was the only person you've ever loved. You'd be devastated if he'd ever forgotten you.
"I should probably get back" you reply, giving Jake one last kiss and saying goodnight before heading to your hotel room. You enter your room, shower, get into your pajamas and go to bed.

That's the end of this part.
