Vampire Knight (Fan Fiction) Vol. 1 Chapter 3

Zero’s POV:

I was 13 when it happened. I was lying on the ground in my house bleeding. She stepped forward. “It’s painful isn’t it? Are you not scared? Your parents hunted down my brethren… this is my revenge. Since the members of the Kiriyu family are the infamous vampire hunters… this is my privilege as a pureblood vampire…” She said as she licked my family’s blood from her hand.

Yuuki’s POV:

“Yuuki… this boy’s parents were killed by a horrible vampire.” The headmaster said to me. It was a cold winter night 4 years ago… when the headmaster brought zero to us. “It’s a miracle that he has survived. Please look after him ok Yuuki?’ he asked of me. “He is still has blood on him, so give him a bath first. I need to talk to the police.” He said to me. “Umm… let’s run you a bath…” I said to the boy. He didn’t respond. “May I touch you…? I asked so I could lead him to the bathroom. I took him to the bathroom as I said, “Let’s go.” “The bathtub has hot water in it. Take as much time as you want.” The boy still didn’t say anything. “…umm…so… can I help you take this off…? I asked as I took off his long shirt. There was a lot of blood on his neck and chest. So much blood… is this all from him? And his wound… “May I wipe that off… you neck…” I asked as I soaked a washcloth with water. Even though Zero was silent, I still asked him question after question. I rubbed the washcloth on the blood to get it off. Zero just stood there quietly. “Thank goodness… he wasn’t bitten.” I thought to myself. I wonder why I was wary of Zero… he was the one that was to be scared. “Hey Yuuki.” Says Zero waking me up. The classes must be over. “Hmm…? What’s up? Zero?” I say still sleepy. “What do you mean what’s up? I’m going on prefect duties with Mizuki and all that. Once you extra classes are over come and help us.” Zero says. “Oh that. You make it sound so appealing…” I say jokingly. Even after four years Zero still doesn’t talk very much… Oh… today… Zero looks as pale as he did when I first met him…. I think as he walks out the door with Mizuki.

Zero’s POV:

As Mizuki and I walk down the hall the Night Class vampires walk past a group of girls. “Kyaa…” They scream. They’re so stupid being fans of beasts in human forms. “I never thought that I would see Kuran in the School building… It’s not time for the classes to change yet.” Says a girls admiring Kaname. “I didn’t think I would meet you here Kiriyu… Yuuki isn’t with you, but Mizuki is?” he asks. I glare at him. “She has extra classes today…” I say bitterly. “Kiriyu… how are you feeling?” Kuran asks. How did he know? Was it that obvious? I turned around shocked. “Leave him alone Kaname!” Mizuki told him. “Take care…” Kaname says ignoring Mizuki. “You didn’t have to do that.” I told Mizuki after Kaname left. “Yes I did. I don’t want you getting picked on…” She said kindly. She’s so caring to me even though… I’m a beast…

Night Class:

“Hello Kaname. I thought I would see you today.” The chairman greeted Kaname as he walked in. “Headmaster Cross… how long do you plan allowing Zero to stay in the Day Class?” Kaname asks. “it won’t be long… before he changes…” Kaname says.

Zero’s POV:

I am standing outside on the school’s campus. My throat… I’m thirsty again… I must fight it… I hear the tapping of shoes. I look up and take out the “Bloody Rose” gun. It clinks as I take it out of my inside pocket. “What do you want vampires…?” I ask. “Why is Kaname so interested in a human? I can’t stand it.” Says Ruka. “There’s no point getting jealous Ruka. The same for the rest of you. If Kaname found out about this he would get upset. Kiriyu you should put that down too. Ok?” Kain says as I grab his arm and throw him to the ground. SLAM! “That’s so uncool…” Says Rima. “Shut up.” Says Akatsuki. “So Kuran is why you have all decided to gang up on me?” I ask picking a fight. “I’d like to see you try. I have been waiting for a chance like this.” I say as I crack my knuckles. “Stop it right there!” Says Yuuki as she leaps in with Mizuki. “No fighting! Didn’t you read it in the student handbook!” Yuuki says as she holds her Artemis staff and Mizuki the dagger we gave her. “Fighting is not allowed in Cross Academy!” Mizuki says. “Look can we just stop already…? Kain says while he and Ruka glare at each other. “Fine. It’s not worth it. Let’s go back to class.” She says. Yuuki turns to me and says, “Zero what’s going on…? You can talk to me about it. I don’t understand why… But you haven’t acted like yourself.” Yuuki says. I look away catching Mizuki’s eye. Yuuki grabs my arm and I pull away. “Zero…” Yuuki says. “Leave me alone.” I say walking away.

Night Class:

I knew I couldn’t fool you Kaname… You are extraordinary. Being able to track a lineage back to ancestry entirely untainted by human blood even among vampires, that’s very rare to have inherited the powers of the vampires before you,… the vampires within the vampires… purebloods. It is because of you the vampires can control themselves until now.” Says the headmaster. “Headmaster… Zero must be moved for the sake of the other human students. Do you intend to allow him to destroy everything that we’ve work at for so long to create?” Kaname says. “Zero’s family was killed by a vampire, but there must be another way?” The Chairman asks. “But they were not killed by any vampire… she was a pureblood like me.” Says Kuran.

Zero’s POV:

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP! My throat… I need blood…I need it NOW! I’m standing on a staircase in the School building. My throat burns…

Yuuki’s POV:

“Zero…” I say out loud. He pushed me away… He still wont let me get into his heart… it’s still the same. Will this continue forever…? I think as I clench my fist. ZERO! Even though I’ve been the closest to Zero… He still doesn’t trust me… yet Mizuki… I think she knows… but why would Zero tell her and not me? I think as I run on a stairway. “Zero…!” I say. “I told you to stay away… Yuuki…” He says. He still is pushing me away! “Zero…?!” I say. “Don’t look!” He says. Zero grabs me holding my head. “Z-ZERO!? Wait…” I try to say as he licks my neck. Then he bites me. Blood flies everywhere. HUH? Zero is sucking my blood…. I can hear it.. What is going on…!? “Zero…!” I say.

Mizuki’s POV:

I am sitting on my bed thinking about what happened today with Zero and the vampires. I smell blood… Yuuki’s blood!... ZERO…! I ran following the scent of blood. I got to the top of a staircase. “St- STOP IT…!” Yuuki tries to say. Zero was grabbing her. There's blood all over him. “No!” Yuuki screams getting out of Zero’s grasp. His eyes glow red… Has he changed…? “Zero…” I say. His long fangs protruding from his upper lip… a beast in the shape of a human man… “Zero!” I say as I ran to hug him. “Yuu…ki… Miz…uki…” Zero says.

Night Class:

“Humans that are bitten by purebloods turn into vampires!” Kaname says angrily. “I know Kaname.” Says the headmaster. “Once a human is bitten they ether die or survive becoming a vampire… it’s a torture that other vampires can’t even imagine… although Zero will never be human… to suppressed his instincts for 4 years… it took more strength I will ever able to comprehend.” Kaname says.

Yuuki’s POV:

“What…?” I say Zero is a vampire…?
