It had happened again. You had gotten yourself lost while in a neighboring town so you could go and wander in their forestry. (f/n) had gotten especially mad at that one so you immediately knew you would have to spend a cafe day with her.

So here you sat in the booth which held just the right amount of sunlight and shade with (f/n) as she took short, yet meaningful, sips of her Americano. You definitely preferred something lighter, hence why a latte that was still half full remained on the table. It was an  interesting dynamic you two had, while you still longed to go outside and get lost somewhere, you had grown to appreciate these days that would be spent at a table enjoying the steam rising from a cup. The first time you had complained (f/n) had recommended something to you called "people watching". At first the idea was something you couldn't grasp. Why watch people when the scenery is so much better? I learned to make use of this people watching thing eventually and did do it on interval now. I watched as a man with teal hair walked in, laptop in hand, he ordered an Americano then sat in one of the darker booths and got to work. I watched as another man with rosy brown hair sat down across from the teal one and ordered a cappucino. The two sat in relative silence and had you not observed them till they left together you would've thought they were complete strangers. You continued to watch and observe people who came in and out or people who would walk around outside. It was a repeating process until (f/n) had finished her second cup of her Americano and tapped your shoulder to signal that she was ready to leave.

Days like these didn't just end with the cafe so you knew to follow her. Most likely you would end up heading to her dorm room on the school grounds. Which was fine by you, (f/n) was lucky enough to have a dorm mate that wasn't there very often so it would likely just be the two of you. (f/n) had a large amount of movies that she had taken with her before beginning college. Now she rarely got the time to sit down and truly watch any of them, but whenever days like this happened she took advantage of it. She also enjoyed enriching you on the joys of good classics. It wasn't that you didn't watch movies but you just preferred to be out and about listening to music as you wandered aimlessly.

Surprisingly enough beauty and the beast wasn't too bad. (f/n) thought it was a disgrace that you hadn't seen many Disney movies but she also didn't like to rewatch them too much, so today was a rare occasion. You walked along the empty sidewalk, which was a contrast to the still very busy street, humming the opening tune. You smiled knowing that tomorrow things between you and (f/n) would be very much amended. Some one rounded the corner of the street. He stumbled in an apparently drunk manner. He had blonde hair although you could tell it wasn't natural based off the color of his eyebrows. You ignored him but you did stop humming, wanting to draw as little attention to you as possible. However he still managed to end up right in front you and-

*omf*

He stumbled right into you. Practically collapsing like a rag doll, his nose against the vein in your neck. he mumbled something incoherent and then you threw him off of you. He stumbled a few paces back. One eye half lidded. He eyeballed you and then turned into an alley and collapsed. You felt a little bad for him so you briefly pulled out some spare change and placed it next to him. You turned your back to the alley feeling as if though someone was burning holes in the back of your head. You looked around and even peeked over your shoulder to see if the man was still passed out. To your surprise he wasn't. As a matter of fact he wasn't even on the floor anymore. He gave you this really weird box smile that under any other circumstances might be cute but currently was just unsettling. He opened his mouth as if to say something but you had already turned away. In your haste you bumped into someone who you took note had rather broad shoulders. You muttered an apology then shuffled around the man and quickly walked down the street.

Not until the bustle of cars died down and you passed the small cafe did you feel comfortable enough to put your earbuds in. You mulled over today's interesting events. The drunk blonde man and his antics. The many different people you saw at the cafe. Today felt more interesting than expected and you felt a little content at the thought.

You arrived home, taking off your simple shoes and kicking them off somewhere. You made some cup ramen on the spot. Feeling a little different you decided to use the reusable chopsticks this time. However you found that they hadn't been cleaned so you opted just to use the fork. You sat down in front of your TV and turned it on to Netflix. You had many shows that you needed to catch up on and you didn't need to be in for any of your classes till the afternoon. You smiled as you scrolled through your phone while the intro for Devilman Crybaby played. You yawned and got a text from (f/n).

"im not mad anymore btw"

"I know"

"good now go to sleep"

"nope id rather watch Devilman Crybaby"

"still? I thought you finished that weeks ago"

"nope now shush the intro just finished"

"fine but im sleeping so gn"

"gn"

I put down my phone contentedly. I glued my eyes to the screen until another yawn interrupted my watching. Drowsiness overcame me and I spared a glance at the digital clock. 2:31 AM, that was pretty late. Looks like you wouldn't be able to finished Devilman Crybaby after all. Eyes already closing you grasped the remote and hit the off button. The idea to go and sleep in your bed ran through your mind but was quickly abandoned for the blissful feeling of sleep that overcame you in that moment.
