He watched you like a hawk. His smile having diminished and that same unreadable expression that you remembered from your captor blanketing his face. You heard the footsteps behind you cease and the familiar voice spoke softly as if though everything would be alright.

"Ah, you found her Hoseok. I was just about to catch up to her as well."

Why was he here? A man you had only met twice by pure coincidence. Why was he here wandering the bloody halls of your hell? What place did he have in it all. The man spoke to him as if though they were life long friends. The kind of friend that you see and immediately know that they're on your side no matter what circumstance you're in. You hadn't been able to process that there was another man behind Hoseok. Having been too stunned before. You let your eyes wander to see a blonde standing not too far behind Hoseok. His eyes on you, just the same, some sort of deep concentration in his mind. Then Hoseok spoke in a tone that sent chills up your spine.

"Why is she out Jimin"

He said Jimin, and from picking up the way the blonde didn't perk up at the mention of the name, you could only assume it was the man behind you who held that title. You looked wide eyed at Hoseok as he tore his eyes away from you to the man behind.

"Answer me."

The intonation held a deadly threat that made the air thick. You swallowed hard and let your eyes wander to the blonde that you now realized might be the drunkard that had bumped into you. His eyes were clear and he stared at you with a coldness that pinned you to your spot. Then Hoseok was gone from in front of you, in one swift movement he walked past you and left you with a clear vision of the blonde.

"Take her Tae, I need to tell Namjoon about Jimin's clear lack of discipline."

Hoseok's voice was nothing like the chipper sunshine smiling man you remember in those flower fields. It was cold, deeper even as he spoke in such a commanding tone. The blonde walked forward and grabbed the clothed part of your arm. You thought to struggle but "Tae" glanced back and something in his eyes told you not to. The way it seemed like he challenged you to take advantage of the fact that those two were gone. He was daring you to run.

"Let's see how far you get" You could only imagine what his voice sounded like but the idea of him saying that to you rung through your mind regardless. You followed obediently too harmed to run anymore, too confused to struggle, too unwilling to take Tae's dare. He led you through the winding hallways, passing multiple stone doors, their only distinguishing factor being the difference in blood splatter. Dizzying twists and turns for what felt like an hour until he finally reached a door. He pushed it open effortlessly and then stood to the side. You looked in and saw a staircase that was winding. You walked through and looked up revealing that this staircase almost seemed eternal from your current spot. Something prodded your back, you turned only to be met with the prodding again and a small clicking noise.

"Start walking or I start shooting."

Startled it took you a second until he brought the gun to rest on the nape of your neck the cold metal making you stumble into action. Walking up and up for what felt like forever. Thinking about it, you tried to ignore your absolutely aching wounds, you felt like maybe that hell down there had been a limbo. While it was an idea your conscious objected to initially, the more you climbed the more it felt like you were going somewhere far worse than their basement. This place you were going had to be worse. If it was run or even lived in by your captors you could only imagine what it was like. The winding staircase made you sick now as the thoughts swirled up in your head just like the stairs.
