"Are you okay, Mr Banks?" Mr.Kings, his fellow professor asked as they walked towards their respective cars in the parking lot of the university.
"Uh, yeah." He said, forcing a smile.
Mr Kings didn't look convinced but nodded anyway, not wanting to press the matter any further.
Greeting his fellow professor a goodbye, Lance drove towards a bar, thinking a drink or two might actually help him. However, a sip later, he decided to simply head back home.
Reaching home, he threw his body on the bed, his eyes unintentionally dropping on the leather journal.
"What must be in it?" he mumbled to himself.
He stared at it for hard and long, thoughts running wild inside his head.
Maybe it was due to that one sip of beer, but he sat on his study table, picked up the journal and started reading.
The first one line read, "This year will be a memorable one."
