Lance stared at the page for a long time, realising the journal was written during the senior high school; the time when everything changed.
And not for good.
He debated if he should read any further and at the end decided to give it a go.
Flipping the pages, his eyes skimmed over the lines, finding nothing much interesting as all it had was monotonous accounts of what Maia did daily.
His eyes halted when he finally read the line, "Today was one
hell of a day,-"
Out of curiosity, he read further.
"Today was one hell of a day, I can't even begin to tell how exhausted I am.
Can you believe whom I got partnered with:- Lance Freaking Banks!
Seriously out of everyone, he?-"
This made him furrow his eyebrows. What's wrong with being partnered with me, he thought to himself before shrugging and continued to read.
"I just hope I don't make a fool out of myself in front of him.
