Chapter 3 - Alyssa [1]

I had a question to ask Zander. Once we made our way home, I decided to ask him. The kids fast asleep in the back. Hugging and being close to each other. I wish I had siblings like that, siblings who showed they cared.

"Who's their mother?" Once I spoke the question. The air surrounding us got tense. He didn't answer at first. He seemed like he was having an internal debate. "Zander, I deserve to know."

He sighed, "A few years ago. I was eighteen at the time, I went to this frat party. I drank a gallon of Wolfsbane, and got drunk off my heels, me and this girl did something and boom." He said, parking the car in front of the pack house. "She's a crazy, drunken mistake. But if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have these two." He smilies softly.

"Do you still...?" I ask, waiting on him to answer. As we both pick out a child.
"Fuck her, god no!" He exclaims, angrily. Holding Skylar close to his chest.

I sighed, "No. I met do you still see her? Like does she come to see the kids often?" I rushed saying it, it annoyed me just speaking of the woman who got pregnant by my mate. Only I should've got pregnant by him.

I looked down at Sky. But then he wouldn't have these bundles of joy in his care. I smiled at the thought. "She does come often to see them. Only three times a month. That's why once they found out you were my mate. They knew you'll be a full-time mom for them besides school."

"School... Mable probably's already planning my return! She'll -" I exclaim, not realizing I said them aloud.

He chuckled darkly. "You won't be going there any longer. I need you to be somewhere, where I can keep an eye on you." He thought for merely a second.
"Well since I do work at King High, you can always go there."

"You work at two schools?" I asked, I was curious.

"I only worked at your school to keep an eye on you. But, we need money. We have money for the pack and all, even for me. But I already started working there before my father stepped down, so I just kept the job." My mouth shapes as an 'O'.

"That's good, working for yourself instead of just using the pack money." I say smiling. I look up at him through my long lashes. He was blushing, slightly. "I guess." He said, causing my smile to widen. His eyes connect with mine and I was in a trance.

He then bent down and connected our lips. Smirking slightly when he released a soft moan inside me. We stopped, realizing the kids were still in our arms.

He pulled out his keys and unlocked the door. He pushed it open, and we made our way inside. We sat the kids in their beds, kissing their heads and tucking them in.

Zander kept a hand on my waist and brought me even closer to him. He softly trailed a kiss from my earlobe to my shoulder. "Stop." I said, swatting his face away from my shoulder. He groaned, pushing me against a wall. He kissed my lips causing me to sigh and just love this moment.

Slight clapping was heard and I moved Zander so I can see who was clapping. Zander looked upset once I pushed him away. "Shhh." I said to him. He pouted, making me want to make out again.

Zander sniffed the air, "Shit! Alyssa!" He growled, angrily. He wrapped an arm on my waist and massaged it. That felt nice. I closed my eyes as we walked to the sound of the clapping.

"So this is the girl who took my place." Zander froze and turned to his left. I opened my eyes, a woman at least five foot nine stood glaring at me, her long wavy raven hair was flowing down her back, and her emerald green eyes glaring daggers at me.

"Alyssa, why are you here?" Zander asked. He was glaring at her, he was shaking slightly. I intertwined our fingers, trying to calm him. He looked at me, his eyes soften once he saw my smile.

Alyssa crossed her arms. "When is she leaving our house?"

That one question, caused Zander to transform. Not to his wolf form. But he got furious, not even I could calm him. This was why I get scared. His anger.
