Chapter 1

Luke's POV

  "But mom!!!! I don't want to go to school!" I whined.

  "Lukey baby." My mom said putting her hand on my cheek. "I don't care."

  "I hate you!" I said, grabbing my backpack.

  "I love you too!" She called as I left the house.

  I really didn't mind the classes at school, but I hated who I had to sit next to in science. His name was Michael. I don't know why I hate him I just do. He has a best friend named Calum, who actually seems like a nice guy, but I hate his best friend so I don't see a friendship happening there.

  Michael is just plain annoying. He can sometimes be shy but I don't believe that's actually how he acts. What's even worst is that I have first period with him. I'm not a morning person so I'm already upset and then I have to deal with him!

  When I get into class, the teacher looks at me and smiles. "How are you today, Luke?"

  "Tired." I say, smiling a little.

  "Oh Luke your always tired." She says laughing. "Go have a seat."

  I sit down in my seat just as the bell rings. Michael comes in and says, "I'm so sorry Mrs. Jackson! I have a pass."

  "It's fine Michael, just try not to be late again." Mrs. Jackson took his pass from him and Michael came up and sat by me.

  "Did I miss anything?" He whispers to me.

  I choose to ignore it and pretend I didn't hear anything.

  "Ok class!" Mrs. Jackson smiled. "We're going to have a really easy project! Its fun and creative and you all should love it!"

  Mrs. Jackson always had super fun stuff, its not even like homework!

  "But this one is a bit different! You won't have time to do it in class and it will be an at home assignment! And you'll have partners!"

  "Ok so your going to find a candy that you both enjoy." Michael swore under his breath. "And your going to change the name to something that mixes both of you names."

    That sounds awesome! I love candy!

  "But I will choose your partners for you! Sorry!" With that the whole class groaned. "Ok, Calum and Jake!" Beside me Michael groaned again. "Ashley and Felix. Jenna and Connor. Cali and Nicholle. Luke and"
