The show never really says anything about Jax's family except that his dad got him out of trouble and owns a company. So this oneshot is about Jax's dad getting married.

Plot: Jax's dad is getting married. Jax not wanting to go to the wedding alone asks Emma to come with him. Emma helps Jax pick out a suit, and Jax makes her try on a few dresses.

Emma had just gotten ready to face the day which happened to be Sunday. Though Emma didn't know what she was going to do today, she always thought that the early bird got the worm. Emma walked out of her room and went and sat at the kitchen table with an apple. Just then Jax appeared in the seat across from her, which made Emma scream. "Emma, Emma, chill out it's just me!" Jax exclaim trying to get Emma to stop screaming. "JAX! Didn't I tell you to stop doing that!? Why are you here anyway?" Emma all but screamed at Jax. Jax looked away sheepishly and responded with "my dad is getting married to someone he works with. He wants me to be his best man. I don't want to go to the wedding alone, so I was wandering if you would want to go with me. I was also wandering if you would help me pick out a suit for the wedding." Emma thought it was really sweet that Jax wanted her help so she responded with "sure Jax I would love to go with you. And we can actually go pick out your suit now." Jax happy that Emma was going to go with him, and that she would help him made him run over to her and hug her and spin her around. She started to giggle and Jax said "thank you so much Emma. You ready to go?" "Sure" Emma responded. Jax lead Emma outside to his dirt bike and handed her a helment. Emma a little iffy about getting on with Jax said "Jax do we have to ride your dirt bike?" Jax laughed an told her that if she got scared that she could hold onto him as tightly as she needed to. Emma laughed unsure, but got on behind Jax after he mounted his bike. As soon as Jax started moving Emma's arms went around his waist and squeezed tightly. After about a 15 minute ride, Jax pulled up to the mall. After Emma hoped off Jax let out a huge puff of air, because Emma squeezed the life out of his stomach. Emma apologized to which Jax responded that it was okay. Emma and Jax walked into the mall and headed to the suit shop. After they found a suit (that Emma approved of, Jax had walked in and the first thing he found he wanted (he didn't want to be there)) Jax went to try it on. When Jax came out Emma was speechless, he was wearing a white shirt, a black jacket, black pants, and he had a silver tie on. It was so different from what Jax normally wore he felt a little out of place. Emma noticed and said "Wow. You look amazing. What do you think?" Jax turned around and looked in the mirror, he actually looked good. "I like it. Thanks for picking it out. Now, it's time to pick out your dress." Emma confused asked "my dress?" Jax turned around and responded with "yes I am buying you a new dress for the wedding. You don't have to come, but you are. You helped me pick out a suit. Plus I want you to look good." Emma didn't know if she should be offended at that last comment, but just went with it. After Jax got dressed he and Emma went dress shopping. After trying on multiple dress that Emma had picked out (though she liked them, they just weren't right) she was ready to give up. There was a knock on the dressing room door it was Jax. Jax handed Emma a beautiful silver dress, it was shiny, a sweetheart neckline, that came a little past her knees. Emma tried on the dress and feel in love with it. She went to show Jax and he loved it also. After Jax had purchased both his suit and Emma's dress and used magic to transport them home. He and Emma got on his bike and drove back to her house only to find Daniel in Emma's room. "Emma! I was so worried you didn't answer any of my calls or texts! I didn't know what happened so I came over here and couldn't find you. Where were you?!" Daniel all but freaked out when he saw Emma. "Relax mate she was with me" Jax said while walking into the room. "Jax! you were with Jax? Where were you?" Daniel said still freaking out. "Danny relax. I was at the mall with Jax he needed helping picking out a suit, and he needs a date to his dad's wedding so I said I would go." Emma explained. "Look mate. I needed a date and I thought that Emma would be the best bet. I asked and she agreed to go. We are only gonna be gone next Sunday." Jax interjected. "Fine I guess, but don't get any ideas Jax." Daniel said a little mad because Emma didn't check with him first. Daniel left through Emma's window, while Jax stayed to tell Emma's dad about the wedding. Mr. Alonso agreed to let Emma go with Jax (he liked Jax a lot more than Daniel.)

Time skip to next early Sunday morning

Emma had been awake for a little over 2 hours now. She had already taken a shower, painted her nails, done a facial, and pretty much everything else. The only things Emma has left to do is change into her dress, do her hair and makeup, and wait for Jax to pick her up. Emma decided that since she usually left her hair straight that she would curl it (not only to impress Jax and his dad, but she also thought it would look cuter) after Emma curled her hair. She put on light makeup, gray/silver eyeshadow, rose lipstick, mascara, and a little blush. Emma was finally ready to get dressed. Emma slipped into her dress and also put on her silver glitter half inch heels. Emma decided that today was a special day so she would wear the necklace her mom left her. It was a simple diamond necklace with a heart in sapphires. Engraved was 'Always know who loves you'. She put on a few bracelets, her diamond stud ear rings, and finally a simple silver band ring. After grabbing her clutch she went out to show her dad (who almost cried) and to wait for Jax. Jax pulled up in a silver stingray. Jax walked up to the door and knocked fixing his tie as he did. Emma opened the door and Jax's jaw dropped at how pretty she looked. Jax was wearing his suit. After regaining the ability to speak he said "wow, Emma you look absolutely stunning." Emma laughed and replied with "thanks you look handsome too." Jax then asked is she was ready to leave, to which she told her father bye and they left. It was only an hour drive to the wedding. Jax got out and went to introduce Emma to his dad who like her. After a few minutes panicked filled the bride and groom. The young lady that was supposed to walk down with Jax had gotten sick and wouldn't be there. Not wanting to walk down the aisle with someone much older than him, he asked if Emma could do it. Though the bride didn't know Emma, she said that if Jax trusted her that she could. Emma freaked out when Jax told her the plan, but still walked down the aisle with Jax. They took pictures, and went to the reception. At the reception Jax asked Emma to dance, who agreed to dance with him. As soon as a slow song came on he pulled Emma in closer, as the two teenagers laughed Jax spoke "think this all started because I needed a date."
