Dipper's POV:
Being a king is tiring, everything is so boring. All I do is sit on my throne, listen to the peasants complain, and do paperwork. Boring. I wish something would be exciting, Mabel is fun and all but she is too crazy to be actually interesting. Plus, I never see her anyways. I'm always working and when we can see each other my advisors try to separate us so her bad habits don't rub off on me. Good idea, I do anything she wants if she begs so there's no telling what trouble I'll get into.
I was sitting on the throne, just waiting for something to do because my advisors said I should have times for the villagers to come in for help. Other than this I would be at my office doing paperwork and if I'm honest I like that better than doing nothing. I scan the throne room, seeing nothing different from yesterday or the entire year I've been king. I'm fairly new at being a king, but I've been training my whole life with my dad and the advisors so they know how I am. Suddenly something different happens.
A new servant! I try to get to know all my servants to have good relationships with them, but my advisors disapprove very much. I don't really care, I can't help wanting to have friends in this godforsaken castle, it's so boring and sometimes I need to talk to somebody. He wasn't holding anything so assumed he was wandering around looking for work elsewhere in the castle. I called him up, "You, new servant, come here." He jumped at my sudden demand but turned in my direction and walked over.
He bowed, "How can I assist you, Your Majesty?" I smiled kindly as he straightened up. He was quite handsome... "What is your name servant?" I ask. "Bill, My King," he answered uneasily. I smiled, "Bill, do me a favor and ask my advisors when I can leave for my study. It seems the villagers are at peace today, for once in a long time." Bill nods and bows, "Of course, Your Majesty." As he turns to go I frown, he was still being formal to me.
Bill's POV (short):
When the king had asked for my name I was scared I did something wrong, I didn't want to get fired on my first week! I was relieved when he only asked me to relay messages for him, I almost chuckled when he said the villagers were at peace for the first time in a long time. The king was nice but I think he's only nice to get what he wants easier, a very good tactic. I was walking by and eventually found the advisors quarters, where they also had their offices. I went into the nearest office and saw a man, "Excuse me, but the King request to know when he can return to his office. It seems there are no villagers coming in today." He sighed and checked the clock, "Tell him he can leave at the new hour." Oh, he will be relieved because that's only 20 minutes away. I nodded and exit the room, heading back to the throne room.
On my way there a servant I know named Mary stops me with a smile, "Bill! Are you free to help me clean the dining room?" I sighed, "Sadly I can't, the king asked me to get something him." She smiled, "Oh? What does Dipper want? I could probably help you find it." I look at her incredulously, "You can't seriously be on first name basis with the king!" She giggles, "Of course I am, every servant is. And he knows all of us! Well except you, but only because you're new!" I was in great shock, I never knew a king to be so kind. "O-Oh... Well, nevermind that. I don't need any help, but thanks for the offer, Mary. I'll talk to you later, bye." I said. I heard her cheery bye as I walked off.
Dipper's POV:
Bill was taking a while to come back, but I had nothing better to do than wait so I just stared at the door waiting for his return. Finally, he walked in and came to my side, "One of your advisors said you can leave at the next hour, so... 10 minutes from now, your Majesty." I nod, "Thank you, Bill. Also, you can call me Dipper." He looked like he saw a ghost, "Th-That's very nice of you, your Majesty but it is incredibly informal. I could get punished if I was caught talking to you that way." I frowned before I smirked, "Well then, Bill, I order you to address me as Dipper." Bill huffed looking annoyed and worried, "Fine then, Dipper." He bowed and was about to walk off before I stopped him.
