My hands became sweaty and I just felt a sudden heat flash at me. I dialed my best friend’s number down and put my phone up to my ears. Hearing the ring multiple times, I grew more impatient every ring I heard. Finally hearing a

"Hello?" My best friend said.

"Hey, it’s me, Lauren." I sighed.

"Oh my gosh finally you answered! I was worried about you. You told me your flight was at 8 in the morning and you were supposed to be here by 10 AM."

I was so confused at the moment. It’s super hard to get used to the time here in America and the fact that it’s around 7 PM in London and 11 AM here is so hard to get used to. I wasn’t worried about the time at all. I was worried about my suitcase and how I’m going to survive 2 days in America without my clothing AND makeup.

"Well, things really bad happened."

"I hope it’s not worse than the wedding schedule."

"Well it has something to do with the wedding schedule."

"What?"

"It’s a long story and I hope you have enough time for me to explain to you what’s happening."

"If you can say it under 5 minutes, yeah."

I spoke as quickly as I could and the frustration was only getting worse and worse at this point. After I ended the story, I breathed heavily and tried to calm myself down before I get a panic attack.

"Do you think you’ll be able to get it before the wedding?"

"I hope." I sighed. "Can you try rescheduling the wedding?"

"I can’t. His parents need to go back to London in a few days because of an emergency meeting."

"Oh come on." I groaned.

"You need to get this sorted out and I need to call everybody else about the new schedule, good luck." She hung up, leaving me with nothing but my purse with a charger, mascara, eyeliner, my wallet, water, snacks, and the mini toothbrushes. This is going to be hard.

A DAY LATER

NIALL’S POV:

Now having more stress because I have Lauren's suitcase and she has mine. We don’t even know each other and we have texted as much as we could. I was such an idiot to not even worry about why my suitcase got heavier. I already told management that I’d be going to LA to switch suitcases with her and they’d cover me up with excuses.

I can admit that Lauren was really pretty. With her eyes and hair, and her smile. I didn’t have a crush on her, but her image is just stuck in my brain and her voice is echoing in my ear.

Rehearsal was a blur for me today, thinking if she would text me. I found it cute how she panicked when I made a joke out of it.

"You okay mate?" Zayn asked.

"Yeah, I’m good."

"Still worryin’ about the suitcase situation, yeah?" He asked.

"Lauren is, I’m not." I chuckled.

"Lauren?" He cocked his eyebrow.

"That’s her name."

"You two talk?"

"Yeah, she’s too worried about her suitcase." I shrugged.

I booked my flight for tomorrow at around 7. Can’t even believe I’m booking a flight for a suitcase. The perks of being a celebrity, ain’t it?

When I got back to Liam’s house, I decided to call up Lauren once more.

"Hey Lauren!" I said.

"Hey." She sounded different. The tone of her voice sounded upset.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, just, stressed."

"Wanna tell me about everything? To clear everything off your chest." I said.

"I guess." She sighed. "Rehearsals were tiring today. The fact that my best friend is getting married in 2 days is exciting, but I’m just… I don’t know, it’s hard to believe she’s getting married." She giggled. "And my suitcase is in the hands of you, a guy that’s famous. It’s just hard to let things sink in and things, you know?"

"You don’t have to worry about it anymore, I’m coming tomorrow with your suitcase!"

"Yeah, I guess so."

"See you tomorrow."

I wanted to have the guts to say that I wanted to get to know her more. I didn’t want her to think that I was a guy who wanted to get it over with and just leave her with nothing but a trade of a suitcase. Then again, there’s not really time for me to hang out with her since tour is in 4 days.

Time just comes by quickly and I’ve only known her 2 days ago, seeing her for only one minute out of 24 hours a day. Maybe I should ask her to hang out a bit if she wasn’t busy? But then again, management. I could hang out with her at the hotel? But then again, time.

If only I wasn’t a celebrity for a day then I could have time for everything again.
