Today was the day that I was officially meeting Niall. Crazy ain’t it? Just a bump on accident and it turns out to becoming a suitcase swap with someone from a world famous boy band.

I woke up to a phone call ringing from my hotel phone.

"Hello?" I said.

"Good morning Ms. Mitchell, it’s your wake up call at 7:30." The man said.

"Thank you."

"You’re welcome, have a great day." He said.

I got out of bed to take a shower, put on another outfit, and put a bit of mascara and eyeliner that was in my purse. It didn’t work as much as it works with my other make up since those were close to dried up, but it worked.

As soon as I was finished, my phone started to ring and I see Niall’s name.

"Hey!" I said.

"Morning! Just landed in LA." My heart suddenly started to beat faster and I felt a sudden excitement.

"Great, where do you want to meet at?" I said, trying to talk as casual as I could.

"Maybe at Starbucks near your hotel?"

"Sounds great, don’t forget my suitcase!" I said.

Taking a little walk to Starbucks, I felt nervous. I walked slowly, trying to plan out the conversation I’d make with him. Everyone has a really good conversation with each other over text, phone calls, and online. But when it comes to speaking to them face to face, it’s totally different.

As I reached Starbucks, I see Niall with his security guard, and my suitcase in his hands. He opens the door for me.

"Thanks Niall." I smiled. It took a moment for him to realize that it was me.

"Lauren!" He said. "Hey!"

"Hi!" I giggled as he gave me a hug.

"Here’s your suitcase." I rolled his suitcase over to him.

"And here’s your precious baby." He teased.

"Oh shut up. My valuable items were in here, of course I’d treat it like a baby." I chuckled.

We ordered our drinks and sat at a table, him being across from me. Something in my mind was telling me that it was a date, and I couldn’t get that out of my head. Surprisingly, we kept a good conversation going with each other, and I thought of him as a normal 20 year old. He doesn’t brag about his fame, and instead, he cracked some jokes here and there to keep me smiling. I wasn’t sure if I was developing a crush for the Irish man, but he was such a nice person. I knew he wouldn’t feel the same way because he can chose someone way better than me.

"Lauren, you alright?" I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, I’m fine. This jet lag is just killing me." It was true, but not the right time to say that.

"Need some sleep?"

"No, just coffee." I smiled. I didn’t want to depart from him just yet. I’ve only got to know more about him for around an hour.

"Alright, how about we go somewhere besides Starbucks? People are starting to stare at me."

"Sure." We stood up with our suitcases and walked around the streets of LA.

Walking passed stores, parks, restaurants, we decided to stop by at the beach. We sat at a bench with our suitcases beside each other and talked.

"So, when’s your flight back to London?"

"Tonight." He said.

"Oh." I managed to say. I felt a bit- sad?

"You can come with me to drop me off at the airport?" He suggested. "Unless you’re busy."

My best friend was having a bachelorette party tonight, and I couldn’t miss that. But this may just be the only time I could be seeing Niall, ever.

"Sure, why not?" I smiled.

We decided to leave before paparazzis would find us. He dropped me off to my hotel, and I couldn’t stop smiling.

About an hour later, my phone started to ring, seeing Niall’s name on the screen. I swiped my phone and held it up to my ear.

"Hey Niall!" I said.

"Hi, is this Lauren?"

"Yeah, this is her." I was confused. The person that was talking wasn’t Niall.

"This is One Direction’s manager, how are you today?"

"I’m great, is anything wrong?"

"Well Lauren, we found some pictures of you and Niall today, and they’ve posted it on their website, saying that you and Niall have been dating."

"Oh no…" I said quietly.

"It’s alright now; we found out about it minutes after they posted it. Luckily, we were able to take the link down and no one knows about it."

"Thank goodness." I sighed in relief.

"But, unfortunately, I don’t think you should be with him to the airport tonight. It’s already too suspicious that he’s in LA 2 days before tour starts back in London."

"Oh… okay." Disappointment filled my voice.
