The next day I was sitting in my room browsing Instagram for new art accounts to follow while watching Netflix comedy specials on my laptop when I heard my dad come upstairs, go to his room, and then come out wearing his clunky work shoes. I called out to him through my door, "Dad where are you going?" He called back, "I'm going to the supermarket." I jumped up and started scrambling for my shoes while yelling back, "Wait for me! I want to go too!" When I finished putting my shoes on I grabbed my bag and stack of pictures of some new art and flew out of my room quickly closing the door behind me. Then I went bounding down the stairs taking them two at a time. When I rounded the corner to the kitchen I saw my mom and brother putting their shoes on. "Are Y'all going to the supermarket too?", I asked. They nodded their heads and continued gathering their things. I went ahead of them and got into the family car. My dad turned up an old rock song and we jammed out while we waited for my mom and brother. When they finally hauled themselves into the car we pulled out of the driveway and headed down the street to the supermarket. When we got there everyone separated and went to where they wanted to go. My parents stuck together with the shopping list, my brother went to the candy aisle, and I went to the coffee shop located inside the supermarket. I got in line and after a short wait, I ordered my favorite drink, a venti iced cafe mocha with extra whip on top. After I ordered I went and sat down at one of their little cafe tables and took out my stack of artworks. As I waited for my drink to be made I sifted through the stack looking at all of the pieces. When I got to the paper that had a few samples of Anonymous A's artwork I stopped and just stared at it. It was so captivating that it drew me in without me even realizing it and before I knew it, ten minutes had gone by and my drink was sitting on the counter waiting for me. I packed up my papers into my bag and went to claim my drink. When I grabbed it one of the baristas commented, "Dang, you sure were staring at those papers for a long time. Studying for a test?" I replied, "Ha no, I was looking at some amazing art and got carried away." With this, I left the cafe and started to stroll around the supermarket looking at all the shelves and thinking back to my problem of how I was going to meet the artist I adored. I ended up stopping for a minute in the coffee aisle and just staring at the many different coffees and inhaling that tantalizing scent that clears your head. I must have been there for a while because an employee came and asked me if I needed any help. I chuckled and replied, "No I just got lost in thought for a minute, thank you anyways." The employee nodded and left me there alone in the aisle. Still sort of dazed and in my head I noticed a bit of movement at the other end of the aisle. I turned my head in time to see a person retreat to behind the aisle end. Tempted by curiosity I quietly made my way down the aisle in the direction of the unknown person. I was almost at the end of that aisle when the person poked their head around the corner again and both our eyes widened as we saw each other. I could clearly see him now and as my eyes widened in disbelief as to who it was he ducked back and started briskly walking away. Coming back to my senses and out of my shocked state, I went after him.
