We walked hand in hand to the party. Of course we're on time. I did not want to come earlier or later. I wanted to get in just when they are introducing the couple. The lights were dimmed and we were not noticed by anyone. We were ushered to our table when I told the usher who I was. I slipped on the chair next to my brother who tapped my back and nodded at.... what the hell, I don't know his name. Good thing my brother returned to his phone and was busy texting whoever he was texting. I leaned over to Mr Gorgeous and whispered to him

"I forgot to ask, what is your name?"

"Joem, Joem Corpus."

He whispered back.

"Hi, I'm Tori. Tori Gonzales. My Dad is Dr Dwight Gonzales, othat handsome guy beside my sister  and my Mom is Kirsten Gonzales, she's beside Dad, the beautiful older version of me...I want to believe that."

"Nice meeting you Tori."

He whispered and he gave my hand a squeeze. I looked at him and he sniled back. Oh damn, why does this guy have to be so hot?  His smile just left my throat so dry. Why the hell did it become so hot in here? I looked away and an idea formed in my head and I giggled.

"What's funny?"

He whispered in my ear. I shook my head and looked back at him. Damn, he is so close I could see my reflection in his eyes.

"I was thinking of what my Mom would say when she sees you."

"Aaaahhh. Okay."

Oh well, your Mom has been looking our way since we got in. And the other guests too. What will you say if you discover that I am not the carpenter you thought I was. If  only I could ask every one  who knows me not to acknowledge my presence. Everyone who knows me are trying to catch my attention but  I have been trying to avoid them. Damn, even my cousin is here and she's looking at me. Oh man, what have I gotten myself  in to? My parents will definitely know about this. Mom will not stop. If only they know that this girl I am with, only want me for tonight.

"Tori! You're here."

"Mom! Are you not happy I'm here?"

"Of course and..."

"Mom, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Joem Corpus. He's with JEC Forwarding."

"Tori, of course I know Mr. Corpus. But what I did not know is, him being your boyfriend. Since when?"

"Huh? You know him?"

"Who wouldn't know the most elligible bachelor in the Philippines now? And I'm glad, you chose good Dear. I can call you Joem now, instead of Mr Corpus?"

"Yes Ma'am. You may."

And Tori was looking at me as if she wanted to strangle me right there and then. Damn Joem, you're in big trouble.

"Babe, dance with me?"

"Sure Babe."

Yeah! Trouble!
