Finally GCSE's had finished, and we were done with school. Meaning Harry and I could spend more time together than ever. As school finished on our last day, it was hard for everyone.
"We'll stay in touch, right?" Gina, one of my closest friends, asked me.
"Of course! I'll miss you, Gina." I said, as we hugged. "Anyway, we still have prom!" I exclaimed, and she nodded, before leaning over to whisper something to me.
"You gonna go with Harry?" She asked quietly, and I laughed.
"I don't know. I hope so. He's a really nice guy." I said, and she smiled.
"Good luck! I'll see you at prom." She said, and we hugged again, before leaving the school. As I went to catch my train, I heard footsteps behind me, catching up. I turned around to see Harry, grinning at me.
"Hayley! I have something for you." He said, as he jogged the final stretch to me. He handed me a ticket of some sort.
"What is this?" I asked, and he smiled at me.
"A ticket to my first match at the weekend." He said, and I grinned.
"Really? Thank you so much!" I exclaimed, and he smiled.
"I'll turn up this time. And I'll take you for dinner after." He said, and I blushed.
"I'll see you at the match, then." I said, and we hugged, before I ran to catch my train, leaving Harry outside the station. The match arrived, and I was excited to watch Harry play in a professional match. Harry had gotten me front-row seats, so I could see him up close. I could finally watch him play in a good team. As I sat down, the guy next to me smiled at me. When the match started, I watched intently. When Harry scored, I celebrated more than I would with any other player on his team.
"I take it you like the young Kane, then." The man next to me said, and I laughed.
"He's my close friend." I told him.
"Ah." He replied. After the match finished, I met Harry outside. As he left the changing room, I smiled at him. He walked towards me, and I hugged him.
"Well done! You played so well!" I said, and he laughed.
"Thanks, Hayley. Come on, let's get some food." He said, and we left the pitch. We ended up at a McDonald's nearby.
"So, you've got tons of potential. And you're playing for Spurs. Looks like you've got your life planned out." I said, and he laughed.
"It's just missing a few key things." He said.
"What are they?" I asked inquisitively.
"Well, I'd like some dogs, maybe. I'd like to start a family when I'm old enough..." He said, and I smiled.
"Really? That sounds nice." I said, and he smiled back at me, before running his hand through his soft, blonde hair. I loved it when he did that.
"What about you? We've finished school now, you've got to have some sort of plan." He asked, and I smiled.
"I don't know, really. Maybe I'll find someone rich enough so I don't have to work. Maybe a footballer. They get a lot of money, right?" I asked, and he laughed.
"Yeah. How are you going to find your footballer, though?" He asked almost jokingly.
"I think I've found him already." I said, and he blushed. We continued eating in silence, until Harry looked up at me again.
"Hayley, I was wondering if you wanted to come to prom with me. You can say no, obviously..." he said, and I grinned at him.
"Harry, why would I say no?" I asked, and he smiled at me.
"I don't know, I just thought maybe you didn't like me... that way." He said, the rosy colour returning to his cheeks.
"Why do you think I got so angry when you didn't turn up? I like you, Harry. And I want to see where this goes." I said, and he smiled.
"Prom it is, then." He said, and we both laughed. We left McDonald's, and he caught the train back to my house with me.
"I'll see you at prom, Hayley." He said as we stopped outside my house.
"Yeah. I'll text you tomorrow. Also, take me to more of your games, please. I love watching you play." I said, and he smiled.
"That's good. I'll make sure you come more often, then. Thanks for coming today." He said, and I smiled.
"My pleasure." I said, before we hugged again. He left as I walked up to the front door, and went inside, to be greeted by a very excited mum.
