Chapter 26

When Kakashi's lesson ended, Naruto ran up to Sasuke.
"How did you convince Ino to transfer here Teme? She used to study in a school for rich people right? I don't think that it's easy to make her come here" He asked.

Sasuke smirked and looked at the blonde.
"You see Dobe, Ino's family isn't that reach since their flower shop is the only source of money they have, so it was about time that they'll transfer her to a normal school. I just made sure that that time comes a little sooner."

"Woah, how did you know about that Teme?" Naruto asked.
"Ino told me about it when we were dating. I wasn't really interested at the time but I think it did come in handy after all." Sasuke explained.

"But the problem now is that bastard, how the heck did he transfer here?" Sasuke said through gritted teeth.

"Didn't you know Teme?" Naruto said.
"What?"
"Neji is the son of the school's principal, Mr Hyuga." Naruto said.
"Ughhh that explains his cocky behavior. I don't know what Sakura sees in someone like him." Sasuke growled glaring at Neji who didn't notice it since he was busy talking with Sakura.

"This plan is a total failure, Sakura isn't jealous at all. She's acting as if Ino isn't here. I should have told her the truth since Ino isn't going to tell anyone about my secret. WHY DIDN'T I LISTEN TO THAT DOBE?!" Sasuke thought.

"So, are you going to tell her the truth since your genius idea didn't work?" Naruto asked.
"I think so, but I don't think she'd believe me anyway after all of this. Besides she's been avoiding me since she started dating that Hyuga. I wouldn't get a chance to tell her." Sasuke said letting out a sigh.

"Take out your books class, and it would be nice if you pay a little attention here Sasuke." Iruka sensei said snapping Sasuke out of his thoughts.

The whole class turned to look at the Uchiha, including Sakura. Sasuke blushed from embarrassment and looked away.

"Okay, hand over your assignments." Iruka sensei said.
"Oh no!" Sasuke and Sakura thought at the same time.
"I was busy planning all of this and I forgot to do my homework." They both thought.

"Sasuke, where is your assignment?" Iruka asked.
"Uh..I..forgot to do it." He replied.
"What about you Sakura?" Iruka sensei asked.
"I forgot to do it too, sensei." Sakura answered.

"You both get detention then." Iruka sensei stated then turned to the board and started writing the lesson.

Sasuke was angry and annoyed. His day is getting worse by the second.
"Great, now I've got detention with Sakura......wait....I'VE GOT DETENTION WITH SAKURA!!! It's my chance to tell her the truth." Sasuke thought.

Weirdly enough Sasuke was excited for detention and a little bit nervous too.

On the other hand, Sakura didn't want to be alone with Sasuke because she was so angry at him especially after he brought Ino to school with him. She was NOT ready to look at his face again yet.

The day went by fast and it was time for detention. Sasuke and Sakura were in the class sitting far away from each other other which didn't go unnoticeable to Iruka sensei but he decided to ignore it.

A while later Iruka sensei left the class to bring something and Sasuke found it a perfect opportunity to clear things up for Sakura.

He went up to her and tapped her shoulder then called her name, but Sakura didn't respond.
He called her again but she kept ignoring him and looking away so he grabbed her chin and made her face him.

That's when he saw it.
She was crying.
Her eyes were red and puffy and it's obvious that she's been crying for a while now.
Sasuke's eyes widened and he unconsciously wiped a tear from her cheek with his thumb.

They kept staring at each other then Sasuke pulled Sakura into a hug. However, she did not like that gesture and pushed him away.

"I don't understand you. Why do you always do this to me? You kiss me and hug me then go back to that girlfriend of yours. Do you hate me so much that you want to torture me by doing all of this? Please stop it! Stop confusing me! I can't take it anymore!" Sakura cried out.

Sasuke stood still trying to understand the situation. He had to choose whether to tell her the truth or not.

"Sakura, I'm sorry. I was hurt, I couldn't stand seeing you with another guy. I had to find a way to make you love me again so I asked Ino to pretend that she's my girlfriend in order to make you jealous. But it looks like you love Neji after all." Sasuke looked down in sadness.

Sakura stared at him wide-eyed.
"Y-You mean you...."
"Yes Sakura, I've always loved you."

Sakura jumped in Sasuke's arms and kissed him on the lips. The Uchiha was taken aback by her actions but he gave in and deepened the kiss.
