You said I reminded you of brighter days
Where the sun rays shine down
Making everything light and beautiful
You said that's how I made your heart feel
On your worst days where you couldn't feel anything
But tarnished agony and you couldn't see past the
Pain
I was your sun.
I came in and poured and poured out all the love
I had left in me
To melt your cold heart and make you new again
I guess that's where I went wrong
I poured so much of myself into you that I stopped
Filling my own voids
I let you take so much of myself that when you healed
You choose to keep living without me and left me
With nothing
But I guess that's what happens to the sun
It gives so much of itself everyday to radiate for
Everyone
One day, it'll die too
And we'll all be left with nothing
Absolutely nothing..
