Samantha's barn was painted white, instead of the normal red and white. It had the same double doors at the front of the barn but they were more stable than most doors that the barns had.
The inside of the Smith family barn somehow didn't smell like cow and horse manure, they somehow got it to smell good like flowers. I don't know how they did it, but it sure did smell great in that barn.
Samantha's parents had hired an entire staff crew to take care of their farm. The inside of the barn had no hay on the ground, the stalls had personal cleaning crews so each stall was beautiful by the end of the day. There were planted flower pots on the outside of the barn, each one tended and cared for by a personal assistant.
"Hey Sam, how do you guys get it so pretty smelling in here?" I asked when we were in the barn.
"Oh, um, I guess we just use fragrant sprays and those little things you can put somewhere and pull the lid up and it smells good," she said and walked over to Crystal, her horse. She patted her nose and Crystal nuzzled her.
My favorite horse Johnson was in the stall next to Crystal. I walked to him and gave him a hug.
"Hey, do you want to take Johnson and Crystal out for a ride?"
"Okay sure."
I unlatched Johnson's stall and lead him out into the crisp summer air. He whinnied and pawed at the ground with his front right hoove.
I placed a blanket on his back, then placed a saddle over the blanket. Samantha lead Crystal out of the barn and did the same. We hopped onto the horses and rode off to one of the fields.
