003 | Trouble

Sophie, Matilda and I walked around town, going in and out of shops, trying on clothes and occasionally buying something we liked but that wasn't before we saw Debbie who had popped into town before going to the hospital to see Sarah, she smelt the drugs on us and said she'd tell my dad but I wasn't sure if she would or not, I mean she was my step mum for a short time but that doesn't mean anything.

"I really hope Debbie doesn't tell uncle Pete and Ross about the whole drug incident" Sophie mumbled as we made our way into McDonald's for some lunch before we were to head back to the village.

"she probably has too much going on with Sarah to worry about telling dad, when we get home we can sneak upstairs to our room and get changed, dad should be at the farm and uncle Ross will be god knows where" I crossed my fingers in hope

"But what if Ross is home, he will surely smell it on us and we will be in for it" Sophie worried and I thought for a moment.

"We will cross that bridge when we come to it" I nodded confidently, I knew we'd be in trouble even though we didn't even smoke the drugs.

"How are you being so calm" Tilly asked while we cued up to get our food.

"I know we did nothing wrong, it was those sluts who were smoking not us. If
dad and uncle Ross don't believe us then we have to make them" I shrugged honestly.

"What can I get you" the man behind the counter asked grumpily pulling us from our conversation, the three of us went forward and ordered our meals, I had chicken nuggets and chips along with Tilly while Soph had a large chips with curry sauce and a strawberry milkshake, I had a 7up while Tilly had a chocolate milkshake we all handed our money over before waiting for our food. Once our food was delivered to us we went and found a table where we sat and ate.

"I can't believe how hot it's been lately" Tilly points out as she takes a bite of a chicken nugget, simply I nodded due to having a full mouth.

"It's not the typical british weather we all know and sometimes love" I laughed once i had finished my chip which I had in my mouth

"I know right where's the rain" Sophie joined in the conversation

"Don't knock it, it'll probably rain when we break up for summer" Tilly and I literally said at exactly the same time which isn't uncommon, we've done it countless times before.

"I still don't see how you two do that" Sophie laughed, neither did I know how we did it, it just sorta happens.

"It just sorta happens" I shrugged. The three of us finished eating our meal while talking and laughing and just genuinely having a good time.

"We better head back to the village and face the music" Sophie grumbled as we took our rubbish to the bins, I was worried but I wasn't going to show it. We got to the bus stop and had to wait for the bus to the village which was surely going to take forever.

A hour later we were back in the village, the bus had broke down when we were only half way home. I stood at the bus stop with Tilly and Sophie, we were putting of going home but we also knew we couldn't put it off forever after a while We decided to take a small walk around the village before we were going to head home.

"Do we really smell that bad?" I asked Sophie and Tilly with a small sigh. Tilly screws her nose up as she sniffed her clothes and nodded her head

"Really bad" Tilly mumbled while Sophie groaned beside me as we got closer and closer home.

"I'm going to wash this off before Robert or Victoria get home" Matilda said with a small smile as she gives us a hug before walking away Sophie followed me up to the door where I take my keys out.
