Knock. Knock! KNOCK!

Blinking my bleary eyes open, which I had felt like I had just barely closed,I heard the loud, imperative sounds of authoritative knocks on my door,to which I groaned and pushed myself up off of my bed. Rubbing my eyes harshly,I shuffled slowly down the hall, hearing another round of the same knocks, and I winced, not appreciating the interruption of a peaceful sleep. Slamming open the door so it thundered against the stone wall,I glared darkly at the woman who stood there,a mere moment of shock on her face before she brushed it off, replacing it with a stern expression as she asked, obviously having rehearsed it, "Are you Jack Stalon?" Nodding in my half-awake state,I looked at the woman in confusion as she immediately grabbed my wrist, dragging me behind her as she walked on with a determined look on her face as I was to confused to do much other than watch as I stumbled over my own feet in my attempt to keep up with her swift pace.

Waking up as I was lead around like I was a child, although with more force,I realised that the woman who'd spoken to me was a law enforcer, and, from her very grim expression,it wasn't good at all. "What's going on?" I asked, and she gave me a disgusted look, which I could only return with a confused one as she scoffed, mumbling underneath her breath as she tugged me along more roughly, making me stumble even more. When we got to the station,I was shoved into, what was most likely,an interrogation room, and I was pushed into a chair across from another alike pair, and the dull walls of the room only making me remember whenever this happened in movies, and brought a slight grin on my face. Knowing there was no reason to freak out,I relaxed, seeing that the room did,in fact, strongly resemble every cliche interrogation scene every filmed, which somehow just made me more at ease as I waited with nothing but idle thoughts to accompany my boredom of the wait that felt like it would last forever.

Watching the door of the room,I tried my best not to flinch when the door was flung into the wall and two people walked into the room, and I immediately saw the pair of boys looked like almost polar opposites. One of them was average height and had dark blonde hair in a naturally curly, and the other had charcoal black hair that was straight in the same natural way and was significantly taller than the average person, though, they both had matching emerald eyes, and matching uniform as they sat down in front of me,the blonde to my left and other to my right. "My name is Austin and this is my partner,Zen." the blonde said, gesturing to himself and his partner, who was observing me with an unwavering gaze, and I still kept a dismissive look on my face as I nodded, not bothering to introduce myself. "So,are you aware why you're here?" Zen asked,to which I shook my head, making an arch with my arms and intertwined fingers on which I rested my chin, watching their faces shift,as if they were having a silent conversation with one another.

"You have been accused of having murdered Kris Nords." Zen said, flicking his bangs out of his left eye for a second, ignoring the look of disapproval he got from Austin, fixing me with a disgusted look, before wiping it away to one of sluggish observance as I furrowed my eyebrows. Looking at the both of them in confusion, "Two things," I started, "1. Who the frick is Kris Nords? And 2. What? I didn't murder anyone!" I 'asked',sitting up from my slightly slouched position and holding up a finger for each thing I asked the two, though the second was more of a statement. Austin mimicked my motion and answered, "1. Kris Nords is the man who was gruesomly murdered around 5 am this morning. And 2. You'll have to disprove that yourself." Appreciating at least having some answers,I nodded slowly, before asking, "And how was the murder connected to me if I don't even know him?" I asked, genuinely curious as Zen answered my question, which I guessed would be a theme for the pair.

"This picture was taken of you walking away from having just attacked Mr Nords." He said, showing a picture that was of my back and a glimpse of the crumpled over form of the man I'd bitten, and my eyes widened. "You recognise this picture?" he asked upon seeing my shocked expression and I acknowledged I probably looked really guilty. He then said,as if theorizing, "You attacked him,and were planning to maim him further, but, when you were seen, you fled, planning to return and murder the man, and so you did early in the morning.". Frowning,I shook my head," I bit him out of self-defence. " I said, narrowing my eyes as I rested my arms on the table and immediately Austin asked, "Well,if it was self-defence" he started, before gesturing over my sleeve, which I realised was still splattered with the blood I'd wiped off yesterday. "Why is there blood on your sleeve?" He asked,Zen immediately telling me to hand over my jacket, which I did hesitantly, handing it over to him as he glared at me,muttering hatefully underneath his breath, "Frickin' lowlife murderer."

"So,what now?" I asked, not even trying to fight back, having already incriminated myself enough for one day, deciding that I may as well face whatever the system would command from me,and the two looked at me. "Now,you will be thrown out of this village without mercy from anyone." they said in a creepy version of unison, emerald orbs glaring at me in pure distaste and hatrid, and I immediately dismissed much of my fear, but I didn't respond to this at all,and I watched the two walk out as I stayed sat down and waited for the final verdict.
