dalloff: will I get 2 hangout w/ u?

heymoon: yes but it'll be a double date.

dalloff: I still wish u would have told me about u n ryan

heymoon: it happened kind of fast.
heymoon: so will you go or not?

dalloff: yea ill go
dalloff: when is it again?

heymoon: tomorrow night. 6pm.

dalloff: ok i'll be there. can't wait to c u

I roll my eyes and set my phone on the bed next to me.

"What's up?" Ryan asks, taking my hand in his and lacing our fingers.

"He said he'd go, but he seems to be more interested in hanging out with me instead of Sarah."

"Well, you're my date. Not his. He'll have to get over it," Ryan says, kissing my forehead.

"I really don't wanna do this," I groan. "What are we even gonna do anyway?"

Ryan shrugs. "I dunno yet," he says.

I groan again like I'm dying. "I'm telling Dallon I'm sick. I'm not doing this. Sarah will do nothing but flirt with you and Dallon will probably keep asking about how long you and I have liked each other and how we ended up together. He's so nosey sometimes.

Ryan wraps his arms around me and holds me tightly against him.

"Baby stop worrying. If Sarah or Dallon cross a line then we can say something," he says reassuringly. "You're mine and all mine, and no one else can have you."

I bury my face into Ryan's chest and smile to myself.

I'm still not too keen on the idea of Ryan hanging out with his ex.

-

"So close!" Sarah shouts loudly, throwing her arms up in the air as she turns around and faces us. She has this smile on her face, the one that any guy would fall in love with, and her eyes are locked on Ryan.

Ryan is walking toward Sarah, and he throws his arm up, giving her a high five.

"You're still kicking my ass!" Ryan says, almost in an encouraging manner.

Dallon and I are sitting in these ugly, hard, uncomfortable plastic chairs at the bowling alley. Dallon is leaning back, kind of slouching in the chair, with his hands folded in his lap. He doesn't look excited to be here. Neither am I.

Ryan picks up an orange bowling ball with his right hand, and he slowly inches toward the lane. The white and red pins are placed perfectly at the other end of the lane. Ryan throws the ball down the lane, making a loud thud sound, and I watch as the ball knocks over all but two pins. Ryan throws his arms up in the air, turns around, and smiles. His eyes meet mine and I smile back at him. He's so amazing. I can't believe he's my boyfriend.

"Good job Ry!" Sarah says to him, and then all I can see is the back of her as she comes directly into my view, stepping in front of Ryan and hugging him. Ryan hugs back , but only with one arm, and he quickly lets go. I look down at the tiled floor.

"Guess I'm up," Dallon sighs. I watch his feet as he walks away from me.

Dallon has been in a weird mood all day, it's making me extremely uncomfortable. I'd rather be anywhere but here. Or at least without Sarah and Dallon.

Ryan and Sarah are talking, about who knows what. Sarah decided to wear a pair of low rise skinnies and a too-short-for-her spaghetti strap top, in the middle of winter. Don't think the bitch is wearing a bra either. Ryan actually seems interested in the conversation, smiling and talking back to her. Makes me sick seeing them together, not that they're together together. But still, I hate the sight of it.

"Brendon, you're up," I hear from beside me. I look over and see Dallon sitting a seat closer to me than he was before he got up to bowl his turn.

Without a word, I get up and take my turn. Right into the gutter.

-

Look at her, with her arm linked around my boyfriend's arm, pressing to his side, laughing like he's a fucking stand up comedian or something. He ain't that funny.

"So," Dallon says, breaking the silence. We're walking behind Ryan and Sarah, heading toward a small cafe that Sarah suggested. "How's the relationship life?"

I shrug a shoulder and keep my head down, looking at the wet cement. "It's good," I tell him, not really interested in talking to him about my relationship. "Ryan and I are good. We're happy."

"That's good," Dallon replies, sighing right after. "Sometimes I find myself thinking about how stupid I am." He says then, and I look up at him. His eyes are focused on something in front of us. Ryan maybe? "I know we weren't like best friends or anything and we never actually hung out until recently, but I always got so happy when I saw you in school. I enjoyed seeing you and talking to you, and I thought maybe I'd try to get to know you better and see where it goes, but," Dallon sighs and purses his lips. "Now you're dating Ryan and you seem happy. Happier than I've ever seen you."

I'm kind of surprised by Dallon telling me this. "Thanks, Dallon," I say to him. He suddenly stops walking, causing me to stop also. I turn to face him. "Everything okay?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

Dallon gives me a soft smile and his eye lock on mine. "Yeah," he nods, stuffing his hands further into his jacket pockets. "Everything's good. I'm gonna head home though, I'll let you and Ryan spend some alone time together. Once Sarah actually gets the hint anyway," Dallon laughs softly and I see his shoulders relax. "See ya at school, Brendon." With that being said, Dallon turns on his heal and heads in the opposite direction.

One down, one to go.

When I turn around, Ryan and Sarah aren't in view anymore. My eyes are scanning all over the place, and I still can't see them.

"Fuck," I mutter under my breath. I pull my phone out of my pocket and call Ryan. Only, it keeps ringing and goes to voicemail.

I'm walking in a hurry, looking down every side street, every alley, everywhere and I can't see them. That diner should be coming up soon.

I'm approaching a brick building, Mom's Kitchen, it's called, when I hear a soft voice.

"Just one," she says, a low, almost seductive tone in her voice. I stop when I see them, his back against the brick, her front against his, and then their lips are touching, all within a second, if that.

I don't stay to watch. I turn around and walk away, as fast as I can. I need to get away from her, from him, from them. I need to get home.

My cold thumbs are frantically typing and misspelling words on my phone screen, and I don't care to fix the mistakes.

heymoon: the corner by Mom's, now.

Almost instantly, I get a reply.

spncsmth: omw

How the fuck am I so stupid? I should have known this would happen. I did know. I knew this stupid bitch would weasel her way back in to Ryan's arms and it'd be the end of us. And Ryan! How can he just lie to me like that? We're supposed to be best friends. Best fucking friends, and he goes and makes out with his ex girlfriend. Stupid fucking asshole, and to think I was going to tell him I was ready to have sex tonight. Not anymore asshole!

Spencer shows up within minutes. Thankfully he only lives a few blocks over. As soon as he pulls up, I get in the passenger seat.

"Your house," I tell him. He doesn't say a word, just drives. We pass Mom's, and I don't see Ryan or Sarah by the building anymore. Must have gone to her place to fuck each other.

Good fucking riddance.
