I jumped out of my sleep when I heard the annoying sound of my alarm. Right about now everything besides going to class sounds great. Maybe I should just stay in bed. Missing one day of class won’t kill me.
Just as I was about to close my eyes, and go back to sleep, a huge weight dropped on me.
“Morning sleepyhead” said an overly excited Jenna.
“Ugh Jen get off. Let me go back to sleep.”
“Nope I don’t think soooo. Get up. Get up. Get up. We have class young lady.”
My mind went completely blank as I looked at Jenna with a blank expression. She has to be completely out of her mind to be this happy at 7am.
When she realized I had no intentions on moving she snatched my blanket off of me.
“Khloe if you don’t get up I’m going to be forced to tickle you” she said with a straight face.
“Jenna I’m not going to class today end of story. Now give me back my blanket and go about your day” I said while turning my back to her.
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
I turned around quickly and came face to face with Jenn who had an evil grin on her face as she jumped on me. Before I had time to push her off of me she started tickling me with no mercy. My stomach started cramping up as I laughed uncontrollably.
“Ok Ok Jenna stop! I’ll go. Please just stop before I pee on myself.”
“That’s all I wanted to hear. Can’t have my favorite roommate failing any classes now can I?”
She jumped off of me with a huge smile on her face and she went to her closet on her side of the room.
“I’m your only roommate smart one” I said as I climbed out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. Just before I closed the door I heard her scream out “Doesn’t mean you can’t be my favorite. Now hurry up! You have 30 minutes before we have to leave.”
I didn’t bother responding as I climbed in the shower and began washing my hair. Jenna may not be the best roommate in the world, but at least I know she has my back when it matters the most. She can be a little strange at times as well, but I think that’s what makes us work so well together. Jenn is the funny, outgoing, life of the party one and I’m more of the nice, keep to yourself type of person. I’m not saying I’m the loner type, but I would much rather have a small group of friends who I can trust and rely on. It makes my life drama free.
When I was finished in the shower I looked at myself in the mirror, as I brushed my teeth, and decided to leave my hair curly.
Jenna was almost dressed by the time I made it back into the room. She wore a pair of pink cut off shorts and a white halter top shirt with pink sandals. I absolutely love my roommate’s sense of style.
“Well hello sexy! Who are you trying to look good for?”
She turned around laughing and said “Well I could say the same for you hot stuff. You sure are working that towel. And I’m not looking good for anyone.”
I fell out laughing. This girl is too funny some times. A normal person would have just said no one, but my roommate has to have a funny come back. It’s one of the perks of having her as a roommate. We hardly ever have a dull moment.
As I opened my closet she said “What are you planning on wearing today? Even though you look hot in that towel I don’t think that’s a fashion statement the world is ready for. You might start a new trend and let’s just say not everyone looks good in a towel.”
