I promise that I'm working on a chapter. It's just taking me a little longer because I have to start over. The words aren't going in the page how I want them to. For now, please enjoy this short little fluffy oneshot that would probably take place in the future of this book.
There was the pitter patter of feet on the wood floor. "Can't catch me!"
Soon, a pair of strong arms picked up the bright eyed, curly haired child, tossing them in the air playfully, the child squealed. "Again! Again!"
John smiled, opening his eyes and staring up at the ceiling. A real smile. A nice dream for once.
He rolled over, his hazel/green eyes meeting the gaze of the person next to him, the person with caramely brown eyes that he could look at all day.
"Good morning, mon amour. You seem happy," Lafayette said.
"Because I am," he said, playing with the hem of his boyfriend's shirt. "I had a nice dream."
"Hmm?" A pair of arms, strong and muscular arms, wrapped around John's waist from behind him. "A dream? What was it about?" Hercules asked.
"About us," he smiled. "Our future."
Both men smiled. They were glad that John finally believed their relationship was permanent.
"Our future. And what part of our future did you dream about?" Lafayette asked.
"I guess you'll have to find out when it comes true someday. Ok?"
"I'd wait forever, as long as I'm with you two," Hercules said, Lafayette immediately nodding in agreement.
John smiled again, snuggling farther under the covers between them. He was happy.
And happy was good.
