It was a normal day like any other. The sun was shining, only a little bit cloudy. It was pretty hot out but not too hot. The perfect temperature. Cloud and Spark we're out on their backyard playing tag.
"Tag! Your it!" Cloud said as she tapped her brothers dark furry shoulder.
"Oh come on!" Spark yelled as he turned around to chase Cloud. As he ran the trees started dancing in the wind. "It's getting pretty windy," Spark pointed out as he slowed down his pace.
"Oh, your right," Cloud replied, "Maybe we should go inside."
"Okay," Spark said as he was following Cloud inside their little white house. It was cool inside, they were out in the sun for a while. Cloud sighed as she sat down. Spark was getting some water. Their mother was there cooking lunch. It smelled so good.
"What are you cooking?" Cloud asked her mother.
"Chicken, peas, and potatoes," she replied as she pulled the chicken out of the oven. "Go set the table kids," She said.
Cloud started setting the table as her dad walked in. He looked kinda scared. He shut the door quickly and quietly. He cleared his thought and walked to his room. Cloud and Sparks mother, who was named Stella, walked over to him. Cloud finished setting the table and went to go investigate. Spark followed her.
The door was shut but they could hear their parents talking about something, they just couldn't make out what. Cloud put her ear against the door to hear better.
"Stella, the kids. What will they do?"
"Shadow please don't think about that!"
"But it's gonna happen! They put it somewhere in OUR house!"
"They did? Well what room?!"
"I don't know! That's why I'm scared it could go off at any moment!"
Cloud lifted her ear from the door slowly. She didn't wanna listen anymore. They were yelling too much.
"Let's go, Spark," she said in a quiet voice as she turned and headed for the kitchen. What could IT be? What were they talking about? Questions like these went through Clouds mind. Spark and Cloud sat down at the table and waited for their parents. After a while they finally came in. The chicken was a bit cold at this point so their mother heated it up in the oven. Lunch was quiet. No one really talked unless they needed something from the other side of the table.
After they ate Cloud and Spark went to their room. It was quiet for a while longer. Then Cloud heard some beeping. It was quiet beeping. Cloud was wondering what it was. She got up to go get her mom or dad.
"Mom? Dad?" She called.
"Yes, Cloud?" Her dad asked.
"There's beeping in me and Sparks room, do you know what it is?" Her dads face went from a smile to a scared look in an instant. He ran to go get Stella, his wife and Cloud and Sparks mom. Stella and Shadow both ran to where Cloud thought the beeping was coming from. Stella told Cloud to get Spark and get out of the house. As Cloud walked across the room to get Spark, who was under his covers scared, the beeping got louder and longer.
