Back on the Bus

Sky's POV

High school. Those were words most people hated. I liked school. That may or may be because I'm one of the most popular kids in school. Okay the most popular kid. So as I got onto the bus a bunch of people moved over. This happened last year and all through out middle school. Everyone knew the seat you picked on day one was your seat for the rest of the year, so everyone wanted me to sit with them,.according to the'school rules' you were considered popular if someone else popular hung out with you, with a few exceptions. These weren't the real school rules just some rules the kids came up with. Another rule was no click-hopping. Basically you picked your clicks at the beginning of the year and then no changing. You learned how to play guitar over the weekend, you still can't sit with all the other kids who can play instruments, the 'music click'. You picked to hang out with the 'nerd click'. I of course was in the popular click. I was more than in it, I lead it. I walked down to the very end of the bus and sat in the very last seat. Everyone turned around,upset I didn't pick them. At the next stop my friends got on. They walked all the way down the aisle and sat across from me. "Hey biggums" Mitch said as he waited for Jerome to scoot over. " Hey,You excited for this year?" I asked. "Of course biggums. We're gonna win at football this year". Mitch said. " Yeah buddy. You wanna know why?" Jerome asked me." I don't know. Why are we gonna win" I said playing along." Because we're gonna join the team" Jerome and Mitch practically yelled." I'm gonna be the linebacker" Mitch announced proudly." I'm gonna be the wide receiver" Jerome added.

"Well great for you two" I told them giving them double thumbs up."What are you gonna go for biggums"I snickered you know I'm gonna be the quarterback." I told him as Jason,Ian,bash,and bodil got on. They came and sat in the back, Jason and Ian in front of me and bash and bodil in front of Mitch and Jerome.

We all started talking when suddenly a boy came running after the bus. The bus jerked to a stop. As the boy climbed up the stairs I realized all the seats were taken. Well, all but mine.
