BECKY’S POV

I’m sitting out the back on the deck thinking on how I should tell dad that Logan and I are moving in together. He’s not going to like this one bit, he’s going to tell me not to do it because ‘I don’t know Logan at all’ over the past few weeks of been here. I’ve gotten to know Logan more and I know that he won’t hurt me.

“Hey why you out here?” I looked up and sat Kayli and Brailee.

“Thinking about how to tell my dad that I’m moving out of the house to a new place” I told her.

“Your leaving Pocatello?” Brailee asked me with tears in her eyes.

“Oh no sweetie. Uncle Logan and I are moving in with each other near the university that’s all” I pulled Brailee on my lap.

“We can always visit them” Kayli told Brailee.

“It’s not like we’re leaving Idaho. I would never leave my hometown or you or everyone here” I told her.

“What’s going on?” Logan asked.

“Brailee thought I was leaving Idaho because I said I was moving” I told him.

“You promise” Brailee asked me.

“I promise, even ask Logan” I told her. She looked over at him.

“It’s true Brailee. We’re just going to be moving closer to the university so I can get to school easier” Logan told her. I wiped the tears away.

“I’m sorry I scared you like that” I gave her a hug. After that chat they went inside and Zeke came out, he walked down the stairs and I threw the ball over by the trampoline. I walked back inside and started texting my dad. My phone went off and I walked back outside and answered it.

“Hey dad” I said.

“Hey, what is it that you needed to tell me?” Dad asked me.

“Um. I’m not sure how you will react, so here it is. I’m moving out” I told him. I heard silence, I looked at my phone and saw he was still on.

“Dad” I said his name.

“Who are you moving with?” Dad asked me.

“Um Carl’s son Logan” I told him.

“Your moving in with a 18 year old?” Dad asked me.

“He’s 19 dad and he’s going to be moving out anyways. We’re getting a house near the university” I told him.

“19, 18 doesn’t matter. I don’t like it and I won’t support it” Dad told me. When I heard that I walked inside and I saw Shay and Casey look up at me from what they were doing. I shook my head, Casey took my phone and I walked up to Logan’s room.

“What’s wrong?” Logan asked me.

“My dad, he doesn’t support me in this idea of moving out with you” I told him.

“So what now?” Logan asked me.

“We’re still moving, I’ve got enough support form your family and my older siblings and their fiancée” I told him. I laid on his bed.

“Do we have enough money?” Logan asked me.

“I do, don’t worry. When my mum died she gave me all of her money to me, along with my college funding which is over 10 thousand dollars” I told him.

“Wow, your set for life then” Logan told me.

“Not really, I don’t have a boyfriend” I told him.

“Well in that case. How about we go out, just the two of us” Logan told me.

“Are you asking me out on a date Logan?” I asked him.

“If that’s what you want yes” Logan told me.

“I’d love to. I need a distraction, I have to say that I’ve never been on a date before” I told him.

“Then I’m glad that I’m going to be your first” Logan told me.

“Me too” I smiled at him.
