Mia wasn't sure what to do.

Its been a week since Vincent Vega's funeral. It wasn't much of a funeral really. Marcellus held the funeral. It was private and only about a dozen people showed up. Most of the people Mia didn't recognize. She assumed it was just some friends of Vince, maybe a family member or two. Of course Jules showed up. He gave a surprisingly touching eulogy.

Mia was never sure what to at funerals. Was she supposed to do something? Was she supposed cry? What was she supposed to say? It was always a puzzle for her. She figured it was just best to follow her husbands lead. She acted unaffected and smoked the whole time.

However, now was different.

She was at his grave, alone. No one was around to disturb them.

The ground was still soft from the rain last night. In the back of her mind she hoped the mud won't ruin her new shoes. Her dear husband got them for her.

She didn't have much to give Vicent. In her right hand she had a small bouquet of flowers. She didn't know what flowers Vince liked or even if he liked flowers. Nonetheless, flowers seemed appropriate to give to a dead person. It some strange, grave tradition. She hoped he would like the daisies.

In her left hand she clutched the trophy they won. She loved that trophy, but it was Vincent's too. She couldn't have earned it without him. She placed the items on his grave. It seemed right that way.

She still wasn't sure what to do. The silence was a little too uncomfortable for her taste. She lit a cigarette.

She stared at his tombstone. It wasn't much. It was just his name and his date of birth and death. You know, she never even saw his body. The funeral was closed casket. Marcellous told her Vega's body was pretty much destroyed after what Butch did to him. God, she hated Butch. And his ugly, little girlfriend too.

Mia was never one for words. She still didn't know what to say to Vince. They only met that one night for dinner and a dance. Well, and he saved her life that night. That's a big deal she guessed.

Realization hit her. "Thank you" she whispered and blew him a kiss. Something she should've returned to him sooner.

She then pulled out some cocaine from her jacket and made her way back to her car.
