Chapter 1

Rae's P.O.V

"Hurry up Lynn! He's catching up!" I shouted at my sister as we ran through the cold night. "I-I cant! I'm too tired!" She shouted back, out of breath. I grabbed her hand and ran faster, slightly dragging her.

I looked back as the footsteps got closer and the noise of a chainsaw. You might be asking who we are running from? Alright I'll tell you. I don't know the name, but I do know hes a shinigami.

I looked back ahead and saw a wall and my eyes widened. Fudge! I looked at my sister and saw her eyes are wide too. "When I say jump, jump ok?" I asked my sister and she nodded.

"One. Two. Three. JUMP!" I said letting go of her hand at the process, and making my necklace transform into a scythe just in time to block the attack of the red headed shinigami.

"Rae!" I heard my sister shout at me but I ignored her as I sent a kick to the reaper's stomach sending him flying back. "Ooohh! The little girl can fight eh? Then let's see what you can do."the reaper said then lunged at me.

I dodged it and transformed my scythe into a gun then shot at him. He dodged it all of the bullets. He lunged at me then kicked the gun out of my hand making it transform back into a necklace.

My eyes widened as backed me up into a wall. "Such a shame that I have to kill you. Sweet little girl" The reaper smiled at me, showing me his sharp pointy teeth.

You might be saying right now 'Your a demon right!? Fight back!' well I hate to break it to ya but I'm still weak from our last encounter with him and my sister is inexperienced.

"Rae!" I heard my sister shout. "Awww~! Cute sister love! Too bad I'm gonna have to break it" He said before swinging his chainsaw up. I closed my eyes waiting for the pain but it never came.

I looked up to see a black figure in front of me, stopping the chainsaw with both of his hands. Lynn landed beside me and hugged me tight. "Bassy!" The reaper said, his eyes gone to hearts.

The figure, which was a demon I guess, shuddered in disgust and kicked the reaper in the face. I guess the reaper wasn't expecting that and got hit then landed on the ground, unconscious.

The demon turned around and offered his hand out to us as a boy at the age of 14 I think stepped out from the shadows and stood beside the demon. We grabbed the demon's hands and stood up and let go. "Thank you for your help. And may I ask what are your names?" I asked them.

"My name is Ciel Phantomhive and this is my butler, Sebastian Michaelis" The boy named Ciel said. I nodded at them "Well my name is Rae Grainmore and this is my sister Lynn Grainmore" I said while going to the side where my necklace was. I picked up the necklace and examined it before putting it on.

"May I ask what are two demoness doing here?" The demon asked us. I looked at Lynn at the same time she did. I shrugged and nodded before looking back at them. "Bad history" We told them in unison. They looked at each other before looking back at us.

"Alright then, may I ask, do you want to stay at the manor? But you'll have to work as maids" Ciel asked. I thought about it for awhile before nodding. Ciel nodded and headed towards a carriage that I didn't notice was there.

We climbed inside and sat down Ciel and Sebastian at the other side then Me and Lynn at the other side. We rode in comfortable silence and eventually came to a stop in front of a beautiful manor. Sebastian was first to come out and helped us out of the carriage.

We went inside the manor and I looked at Lynn to see her looking around in awe. I don't really blame her. This manor was beautiful. "Sebastian, lead them to their rooms. I'll be in my study" Ciel said. Sebastian bowed "Yes, my lord" he said and Ciel left.

Sebastian led us through many halls and finally reached our rooms. "This door to the left is Miss Lynn's room and the door to the left is Miss Rae's room." Sebastin pointed out. "Thank you Sebastian and please call us by our names, no 'Miss' added" I told him and he nodded

"Alright Rae. Now please get some rest. You'll start tomorrow. Now goodnight" He said and left. Me and Lynn entered our rooms. I looked around the room, and it was nice. I sat on the edge of the bed and sighed. Alot has happend now and we finally got some break from it.

I removed my boots and and lied down. I rested my head on the pillow, think if mine and Lynn's lives will be alright and fell asleep.
