Yharnam is the home of blood healing,using a mysterious type of blood found deep beneath the streets of the city,with it one can be cured of any illness.
The old blood was found long ago in the tombs of the gods,by tomb prospectors who used ritual chalices to break the seals of theese immense undergound labyrinths.
As the name implies,the old blood belonged to a superior race,who has been inhabiting the world long before mankind,the Great Ones.
The Healing Church took oportunity by the use of the blood to grow in power,and elevate Yharnam to standards no one knew existed.Travellers from all around the world seeked the old blood.
Little did they know,that by disturbing the Great Ones,and messing with powers mankind did not understand,the blood had been cursed,and soon they all began transforming into horrifying beasts,loosing every sense of humanity.
Now,it is up to the hunters to cleanse the streets of Yharnam and put an end to this nightmare of blood and beasts.
