I wonder along during my hike, taking pictures of rare exotic birds in the dense rain forest. I begin to walk back to my glider from where it crashed.
My name is Sage. I often enjoy gliding around this rain forest I call home. It gives me a chance to take beautiful photos for my work. I was gliding and doing so today, but an unfortunate breeze blew and made a rip in my glider, causing it to crash somewhere near a waterfall.
I began to take pictures of the waterfall for my new rain forest album, when suddenly my stomach began to growl. I took out my PB&J sandwich from my packed lunch bag. I often don't choose this meal as my first pick, but for now it will have to do because of my hunger.
After I finish eating, I scroll through my pictures I have taken today on my camera, when the screen suddenly turned black and a red battery symbol greeted me. It had died there right on the spot.
"But I just charged it...hm...that's weird. This battery is supposed to last for a few days...how odd." I say to myself, not realizing I had done so.
I pull out my phone from my backpack and turn it on, when suddenly the screen goes black and the familiar low battery sign greets me.
"What the heck?! I just checked this thing 40 minutes ago and it was at 100%...I haven't even used the thing once on my trip....something strange is happening." I say to myself once again.
I finally give up checking on my devices and suddenly feel myself getting dreary, and feeling a sudden urge to sleep. After all, it has been a long and tiring day.
I get up, searching for a place near the waterfall. I spot a cozy and dry place near a tree and, unfortunately, it was way too close to the river for my liking, but I decided that I was simply too tired to search for a new one with free shade. I set down my stuff, lying down and using my backpack for a pillow as I lie down near the rushing water. The essence of the calm water sounds make me even more relaxed as I slowly drift off into a deep slumber.

I found myself sitting by a campfire, the heat giving me a sense of comfort. I take a moment and decide to look up at the sky, and a deep rumbling sound comes from the now dark clouds. They covered the moon, and as if it were reality, I could feel a vibration underneath me as lightning came crashing down from the darkness of the clouds. It shook the whole earth as a mighty roar came from the same cloud coverage.
Rain began pouring down, instantly breaking my one comfort. The fire went out with a hiss and I was thrown into complete darkness. I suddenly began to feel cold and empty as I began shaking from the bitterness of the unforgiving cold.
The last I could remember was how it felt so real...

I wake up, finding myself being washed over by the river that I had once thought was calm and peaceful.
I start to gasp for air as I begin to go underneath the water. My arms flail in the air as I try to stay above-water in a panic. While in the severe shock, I could not contain myself from the horror.
I was being rushed towards a stationary rock at top speed. I tried with all of what little energy I had left to swim away, but the current was too swift. The thunder roared one last time as I saw a flash, and my head was slammed against the large, heavy boulder.
I was thrown into a sudden world of darkness as I lost my consciousness.
