THE PARTY WAS IN FULL SWING. The whole neighborhood and the friends and connections of the Waters family had come, everyone chatting either in or by the pool, all of them excitedly waiting for Triton Waters to come around and talk with them, as well as waiting for his darling daughters to come out and do their musical concert that had been promised when they were invited.

The Waters family were like royalty on Rhode Island, as well as the rest of the world, what with Triton Waters being an Olympic gold medalist in swimming and Athena Waters having been a world renowned marine biologist, responsible for the discovery, research, and classification of nine new species of fish, as well as the creation of the largest aquarium in New York, focused on education and proper care of aquatic life.

The entire family seemed to have grown up in the water, the parents both in their own homes and passing the tradition down to their seven daughters who learned to swim before they learned to walk.

Athena also placed heavy emphasis on music in their lives, always singing or playing some form of music throughout the house, whether it be on the various instruments kept within, or on the various music players they had bought throughout the years, there was always music.

Everyone could still remember the headlines when Athena Waters passed away. Some ruled it an accident, but everyone knew what truly happened. A miscarriage of justice, apathetic law enforcement, the folly of human nature. People still remembered Triton Waters being on the brink of withdrawing from the limelight entirely, the aquarium nearly shutting down as well. There hadn't been music nor a smile for ten years, and the girls could still remember no longer being allowed to play music of any kind where their father could hear.

Then things changed. The aquarium had a huge "re-opening" despite never having closed, the man came back into the limelight to swim, winning even more medals, and the girls were allowed to pursue their music. Things were back to normal, if dimmer, what with them living in Rhode Island, their second home in New York sold and forgotten.

"Do you remember when he was found stumbling drunk a few years ago?" one of the guests whispered to another, casting a look towards the man who was happily speaking to a small group of guests who began to laugh at a joke he just told.

"Stop," the other guest hissed, giving the other a sharp look, "He lost his wife and was left to care for seven daughters on his own. It's a shock that he's still alive."

While the conversation continued downstairs, six girls were watching from their position upstairs, adjusting the uniforms they had made for this special occasion. While the guests didn't think much of the party, it was rather important for the Waters family, as it was meant to celebrate the one year anniversary of their father's recovery, as they liked to call it.

They were each born within a year of each other, the oldest being Attina who was twenty-two and the youngest in the room being Andrina who was seventeen. Since there were six of them all scrambling to make sure that they were all ready to go, taking their last deep breaths before they began their descent to the foyer where they would begin their performance they failed to notice a missing member of their family band.
