"Oh. My. God. I had killed Christian. I wake up, breathing hard. But, in killing Christian, I had saved Bob! Maybe I'm not that bad of a person...Nope, nope. I'm evil. I broke up with Brick, I told everyone about Bob and...Bernard, I killed Stella Rose, and I gave Coralee that necklace...

The doorbell rings. Who could that be? I open the door. Brick is standing there, looking kind of nervous about something. 

"So, um, I heard, um, uh, so, what I'm trying to say is, uh, okay so I heard about how you quit Regional because you saw that pageants were ruining your life, and uh, I just want to say, that's great." Brick mumbled.

That was so sweet! I smile and say, "Thanks, Brick, but does your dad know you're here?"

"No. I have no idea where he is either. He's probably with Magnolia's dad." 

That's weird. Why didn't he just say his name? "Brick, why don't you just say his name?" I ask. 

"Because Bernard's an idiot." I had never seen him so angry before.

I decided I wanted to be alone. "Well, thanks Brick, for complimenting me. I...I think you should go now."

But Brick grabbed the door as I pushed it towards him, swung around, and put his hands on my hips.

"B-Brick, what are you doing?" I smile nervously at him.

"Look, I know Christian's your boyfriend right now, but, I really liked you. I mean, I really like you, and I'm really sorry if I'm not as good as him, but you're funny, you're sweet, you're kind...I really like you, Patty. And I'm sorry I didn't give you a chance when you were fatty Patty."

"No need, Brick. One, that night led to me getting skinny and all that, and two, I thank you for those words but...you're gonna have to go." I tried to push him away.

"No, Patty I-" 

I interrupted him, "I know, but I'm not looking for anything right now."

Brick frowned slightly and said, "But I am." and he put his lips on mine.
