By the way, I'm Ricky Davis, 26 and I'm a PI. Both my parents passed when I was a kid in a car accident so I've been in foster care for 12 years of my life. When I was free I decided I wanted to be in the military, but then I got this job as a PI. I'd like it more if I didn't always just have to find people. Sean and I have been partners for 2 years and he is very important to the partnership because he's very intelligent and he has good ideas, I, on the other hand, just back him up and agree on most the things he says. I finally awoke due to my extremely loud alarm. I showered and grabbed a granola bar for breakfast and heading to the station. The car ride was silent, but quiet... As usual. I sat and finished all the files I had in some past cases when Sargent Christine walked up, Sean and asked for me."Over there." I heard Sean say as Sargent Christine walked towards me, she then asked to meet in her office. I gladly and professionally stood up tall and went into her office with her, strolling in the way I walked so people would notice me. Then I sat as she closed the door, she then asked "Do you want anything to drink, maybe some snacks?"
"No thank you, I had breakfast already." I said and smiled nicely.
she looked at me with a serious, tense face. Which made me uncomfortable to sit through."So, you know this Nick Wallis boy, correct?" I looked at her surprised and said "Of course, I had a rescue case for him." I said quickly, keeping my smile.
She looked at me again this time calm."So, you saw the boys body in the woods?" She said placing her right hand in the other.
I then was confused she definitely knew what my case was, and I'm sure she knew the body was found, why is she asking me these questions? I thought."Yes, I saw the boys body." I shifted in my seat a bit.
Her eyes looked directly into mine as if she were trying to read my mind."What kind of weapon do you think was used? Where do you think the murderer hid the weapon?" She asked calmly, he black eyes seeping slowly into my soul.
I looked down..."I think the weapon must have been a knife with a blade that's about 7inches deep, and I think the murderer would have buried the weapon." She smirked
"No, he wouldn't have, that would have been to obvious. Don't you think?"
I thought it through and she was right... So I agreed."Yeah, I guess you're right, I would have tossed it in that pond."
She looked at me again this time very angry."Really? What pond? Did you see a pond there? You were assigned to look in a specific area, not even close to that pond." I felt my palms begging to sweat, I started tapping my foot. "I've been close by there before" I said.
"Oh really? Maybe you went to the pond when you walked off and threw the weapon in? Getting rid of evidence?" I stared startled at being accused.
"What! I didn't even have a knife and I didn't throw a knife in a pond!" I got quiet I forgot I was speaking to the Sargent,
"I didn't do any of that I swear it." I growled.
She pushed a knife over across the table."Look, Ricky, we've searched your house, and we found a lot of similar knives there. Not just that, but the location of the body is very close."
I was shocked, it was all true the knife was similar."I never seen that boy before, why would I have killed a little kid? I wouldn't do something like that!" I said on the verge of tears from my anger.
"I can help you, If you confess you can get less jail time, better treatment and such. We know you did it Ricky." She said with a cocky smirk. I was quiet I couldn't speak... It was like all the oxygen got pulled out of me, what am I supposed to say? This is horrible... I'm a fucking murder suspect.
"How can you say that your own PI, Ricky Davis, had done this? You're wrong." I didn't know what I could say to back my story up."I was out that night, I went to Burger King to get dinner." I said quickly... Trying to think something up. She looked at me again and sat for a while, ignoring me.
"Burger King is actually closer to where the boy was found then your home, do you also have an alibi to that?" She said with anger.
I don't have an alibi for that... I mean, I went to Burger King to get a burger... There's nothing really to day... 'Umm, I was hungry.' Yeah, not exactly a smart thing to say.I hope you enjoyed. (:
