ParkShinHye POV:

It was Saturday afternoon I was in my room still sleeping, well..technically I wasn't sleeping but "you know that feeling when you wake up and your too lazy to do anything?" That was me on Saturday. However, in all fairness though I had a good reason to feel that lazy my friends had dragged me to the gym for the first time in 2 years even though I had begged them & told them I did not want to go. However, in the end I gave in "like always" but they had bribe me with food thou (MacDonalds) who can ever turn down free food? Especially a double cheese burger from Maccies!!. Yummy!. Anyways let's cut the long story short I went to the gym for like an hour, after the hardcore gym session we went to Maccies. My friends ordered me a double cheese burger like they promised which was obviously a silly thing to do cause we be putting back all the calories we have just burned down. After that I can back home went straight to bed cause my legs were hurting me, this was mainly the reason I struggled to get up from the bed.

Anyways back to the story. That Saturday afternoon my mum and dad both came into my room. As soon as they both entered the room at the same time I knew that something was wrong. The last time they both entered my room it didn't end well let's just say they sat me down and gave me "the sex talk" Yes that right!! "The awkward teenage sex talk"!. One of the most uncomfortable moments in my life. Back to the story. When my mum & dad entered the room they were awkwardly looking at my room then starring at one another. This definitely reassured me that I was right "something was not right and it wasn't gonna end well this time either". After a long starring contest My mum & dad started whispering to each other.

Mum (Sofia): Ermm... Charles since she's your daughter and she gets own with you more than me I think you should tell her.

Dad (Charles): Ermm... Well I guess you are right we are close. However, it doesn't feel right coming from a "male perspective" and she's your daughter so you should tell her instead.

Mum (Sofia): Ohhh Charles "man up" Okay! How about we just tell her at the same time?"!!.

My mum and my dad stood in my room for a good 15minutes forgetting/not acknowledging that I was in the room, arguing with one another about who's gonna say what to me. At that rate they would have carried on until I said something to them. I found myself talking loud randomly.

ParkShinHye: Ermm.. Sorry to interrupt "but tell me what?, did I do something I am not aware of?"

Mum (Sofia): OH NO!! Sweety!! U haven't done anything wrong. However, your father and I have some exciting news to share with you!.

"Looking all lost and confused my dad decided to start speaking putting me out of my misery".

Dad (Charles): Ohh sweetie!! "your mother and I have realised that your all grown now & mature, grown enough to even have your own house or even start your own family". Anyways to cut long story short. You know my friend I work with?, He has a son who's just a few years older than you (just by 2 years I think). Anyways he's son is an engineer at Rolls Royce. (For those who don't know, Rolls Royce is one of the biggest engineering companies in the U.K). So, He's son is apparently looking for someone to settle down with, he's even considering marriage. "Your mother and I suggested to his father that "you 2 should gets married since u have met him before, we have the same culture & beliefs and he's financially stable and he tick most of our boxes so we thought why not".

Mum (Sofia): Yes Sweetie!! This is a once in a life time opportunity, "You would be foolish to not take this opportunity and live a good life". Also, it's not like you have much of a choice we have already accepted the proposal so tomorrow you will be going around their house to meet each other and potentially start planning a wedding.

"Having digested all this information within a few minutes, I finally decided to speak"!!.

ParkShinHye: What? Are you kidding me?. Please tell me your joking? Dad & Mum are you in this together trying to prank me?. Please tell me this is a joke! Please! and I don't have much of a choice?. What if I say I don't want to get married?. Actually, let me rephrase that "I am getting married to no one" I am only 18 that's not grown at all mother & father!!. My couldn't even speak after this, all that could came out of my mouth was questions! Million question! I didn't understand, I didn't get it.

Mum (Sofia): Then I am so sorry to say this and disappoint you sweetie. If you refuse this proposal then, "you can't live in my house no more" I will kick you out today even if I have to.

Dad (Charles): C'mon Sofia go easy on her it's, not easy to drop this bomb shell on her & expect her to just agree to it suddenly "She will come around" "It would be foolish to let once in a life time opportunity pass".

ParkShinHye POV:

I couldn't believe my parents, I just couldn't believe they would even suggest such a ridiculous and silly thing like this..!! Selling their daughter away so easily without even thinking twice or considering how I feel!. "Just because I have met the guy once and he's financially stable?". Who cares about money . If you don't love someone no matter how much money you have you can't buy love and you don't will always be miserable. No wonder why many people cheat on each other this days, cause they is no love!.
I argued with my mum and dad until "the sun was no longer shinning and all that could be seen outside the window was darkness". Cut long story short, the ending was me telling my mother and father that " I was never going to get married and my mother threatening to lock me in my room till the next day when guy and his father comes around our house".
