Dinner was a silent affair. All were having their food quietly when Randhir pushed his plate aside and said, "I am done. I am going." All of them raised their eyes to see that Randhir has not touched a single bit of his morsel whereas his cousin Sameer rolled his eyes. "Here starts the drama." Sameer said.

"But Randhir you have not even touched your plate." Aastha tried to reason with him but of no use.

"Dadi I hate spinach and you know that." Randhir said wiping his mouth with a towel.

"Randhir why are you fussing over spinach. See you have got so many other items. Try chicken or something like that." Rimzim, Abhijeet's wife and Sameer's mom, told Randhir but he paid no heed to it and went upstairs. On his way he saw Sanyukta standing near the staircase. He just snarled at her and went to his room.

Abhijeet on the other side just sighed. "What is wrong with Randhir? Why is he such a rebel?"

"A boy who was has watched his mom and dad's dead bodies at an age of 10 and is staying with the murderers of his parents can never be at peace you see." Aastha said glaring at Vidyut whereas Vidyut kept silent knowing that small spark from his side would only lead to further damage.

Later that night lying on the bed Randhir was not at rest. All those events came running back to him that happened that night on 13th of September. It was his daily routine. Every night all those memories played a slideshow infront of his eyes. That pale face of his mom, that cold body of his dad, their fingers laced with each other as if they didn't want to be separated till their last breath. Those clothes of theirs' dripped in blood. It was just too much for him. How he wanted to stop those thoughts but every night they came running back to him as if he owned them.

Irritated Randhir decided to go on a long drive to calm down his mind. As he came out of his room he smirked. He peeped into her room. That her who had tried to mess up with him. He saw her curled up like a baby in her bed.

"Now I will see how long you stay here." Randhir said closing the door to her room slowly so that she don't wake up orelse all his plan would go in vain. Happy that his plan is not going to fail now he took his car keys and went out. While the wind from the car window hit his face he felt so refreshing and soothing. The sweet smell of night queen was calming down his nerves. Suddenly he felt something rumbling in his stomach. That's when he remembered he had not taken anything since afternoon. Pulling into a small restaurant that he saw on his way back, he ordered chicken curry and some stuffed parathas. He always loved this combination. This mismatch was something that had brought his parents together and he still remembered how his father used to carve for this particular delicacy by his mom. There were such a small happy family living in the hills of Ooty. He cursed the day when he forced his parents to take him to Mumbai and that was his worst demand he thought as it had cost him his parents. As the tears fell from his eyes he saw a small tissue being handed over near his nose. He looked up to see the person and his jaw dropped.

"Sanyukta." Was all his lips could utter.
